Sure, but even Legion came from an insider source rather than the fact that it was at Gamescom.

Don't forget CGI cinematic character pictures on press kit, even if some people don't wanna believe them. They will in two days tho.

I'm still confused about how people thought that avaloren leak was legit with so many old models in the trailer stills,it's hard to even find one old model in those gameplay trailers.

  4. #102664
Oh yeah it would've been crazy. Imagine if we didn't know anything about Midnight, not even housing.

Then the pre-order bonus would've happened with the dragonhawks, the void and light as well as housing elements. That would have been a great leak moment.

Oh yeah, the obviously AI ones? The ones without Xal'atath, the most important character? They are definitely going to be at Gamescom!

The last 2 days will feel like 2 years. For me this has to be the most important expansion announcement and I've been playing since late TBC. Any actual leaks are welcome, I don't care being spoiled.

I like how u say "obviously" like u made any effort to even debunk them, while i still have my doubts mostly about Azshara model.

Lorthemars render is completely off-concept? And not in a "Oh, of course it's different, it's an HD model", but in a way where his cinematic render removes any type of Blood Elves symbolism.

Why would they get rid of his phoenix gloves, his phoenix shoulders, his phoenix boots, his phoenix belt or his phoenix chest piece? It's not like they gave him a completely different get-up, it's clearly supposed to be his BfA armor, however, that's clearly not it.

That's because AI doesn't understand why the phoenix stuff would be relevant and just approximates based on the trained images. "There's a bit of gold jutting out, roughly in this shape, with a blue gem".

His left eyebrow also makes no sense.

In the cinematic trailer, he also does seem to have the more "feathery" gloves rather than the three-prong ones from the AI leak.

I've been thinking that a weapon illusion based on the Phase diving/phase lost appearance would be neat. Like the Wraithchill appearance - entirely changes your weapon model to look like npcs do in the Phase diving phase.

But then I saw the pvp illusion for this season and thought it might be too close in appearance :\
But then again it is different enough - it's pink/blue with sparkles, while the illusion is greyish/pink with arcane circles. Just wish they'd do more weapon illusions in general :|

Sure, it was exciting. But then both ended up more or less sucking. Turalyon could just go back to Army of Light and everything will be fine. He can go back MIA and then be KIA for all I care.

In the cinematic she looks uncanny and 'off' with a completely different facial structure.

Lor'themar and Turalyon are grizzled but conventionally attractive in-game and in official art work, but the cinematic will probably make them 'off' and ugly, too.
Except Xalataths render matches up perfectly with her ingame appearance as well as concept art?

Facial structures have ALWAYS been different, simply because it's impossible to translate a cartoonish human WoW face accurately into a ultra-realistic cinematic. Even so, it's not that different? We've definitely had worse, like BfA Anduin

Why would a cinematic character...not be cinematic?

Yeah these ain't real, unless they let Phil spencer use PC for a bit to run his favorite AI through it.

Also, why would they suddenly have this weird aurora background and this big Midnight logo blocking 1/4 of the model?

To play devil's advocate, cinematic Xal has different shoulders.

Which, tbf, is an issue of in-game Xal, because most other media has her with the shoulders from the cinematic.

Point being, no Lorthemar media has him wear this de-Phoenixed armor.

    We'll mark this one down.

It isn't the first time it has happened, as you said Anduin looked completely different in the cinematic for BFA compared to his in-game counterpart. TWW fixed that somewhat by bringing them closer together.

My core point is that if Lor'themar and Turalyon do show up in the cinematic, they'll probably be 'off model' as well.
There's being off-model and off-concept, which Lorthemar is.
