And even if they did it would still be unbalanced because if we counted Theramore as a true city then the Alliance would've had 5, which is 1 more than what the Horde had.
Okay, but then it seems like it literally doesn't matter, gameplay wise. The old versions exist in the game. They can destroy whatever they want because it doesn't matter.

And more importantly: Silvermoon definitely isn't getting destroyed. They already let it slip that Quel'thalas is getting its own housing neighborhood.

What the hell does a neutral version of Silvermoon have to do with balance. The TBC version will always be there.

    1. Silvermoon falls.

    2. Velen shows up with the Army of the Light, placing the Vindicaar above the city and extracts refugees. Hopefully Turalyon lives, but if he dies this is probably it, sacrificing himself for Arator.

    3. Alleria, Vereesa and bunch of surviving Blood Elf NPCs unite the elves and take back their lands from the outside in, beginning by scrambling for allies among the Wildhammer, Humans and Forsaken in the south before moving north to reclaim Eversong.

    4. Silvermoon is ours again by the time the campaign ends, but Quel'danas and the Sunwell remain for us to take back in patches.

You just looped back around to the start of your opinion then. Blizzard has changed since Teldrassil and Undercity happened. I am not sure why that is hard for you to understand, but it has been said now by a few of us.

The game is not the same.

This whole discussion is why Blizzard will never be able to make a good Faction War expansion, because if the status quo is even slightly shifted (like Horde having one less entirely pointless city), it's suddenly the worst thing ever. The fan base just does not have the maturity to appreciate a war.

Man, i can't wait for the Factions to finally become entirely detached from game play so the story doesn't have to continuously bend to the whim of some arbitrary sense of faction balance.

Each faction has currently the same amount of functional capitals and racial hubs.
If it's such a big deal, just turn Exodar neutral as well and call it a day.

    I'll do my wishlist too:

    - Class cosmetic customization (Warlock pet customization appears to be a precursor to something like this)
    - New class (I'm hoping it'll be a battle mage - 2 dps (traditional spellblade spec, and a spell ranger that uses ranged weapons), and a tank (spellbreaker). Plus we're sorta due one based on previous expansion trends (Usually goes Class - Race - Class - Race, sometimes we get a class WITH a race, but we just had a race so it feels like we are due a class).
    - More race customization options (man'ari are in dire need of some tweaking - fel horns, fel energy cracking their skin, etc. Anything to make them look more man'ari than just the green Gift of the Naaru sigil and eyes/skin colour)
    - Demon Hunter 3rd spec, if it doesn't come in 11.2.x, it may come in Midnight. My suspicion is that DH's are being trained to pick up Void in order to combat Xal's invasion - shower thought that it would be a Void ranger spec with Alleria stepping in to train them. Maybe something like Void energy is too dangerous to use in melee so it's much easier to use at range? I'd also accept a 2h spec lol
    - IDK about Allied races. Honestly, I cannot see High Elves being an allied race, as much as some people want them to be. IDK how they can make them distinct enough from Void Elves and Blood Elves. I can see Amani being a Horde option, though.
    - Opening the last of weapon transmog hurdles - Daggers <-> One-handed weapons. For the love of ALL THAT IS VOIDY, IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!!
    - Survival Hunters getting dual wield functionality, and Enhancement getting 2h functionality. Survival because a hunter wielding 2 weapons feels like an iconic trope in an outside of Warcraft; and Enhancement because: 1) it's almost meme-worthy at this point, 2) they were playing around with it in SoD, 3) Nothing screams mystical berserker more than someone with a big unga bunga axe or mace.

Right before Xal delivers a killing blow on lorethemar in the cinematic, she is blown away by a shockwave, revealing..... Russel the Bard, savior of Silvermoon

It would also be incredibly stupid to introduce a third neighbourhood this early.

This has already happened, you've been living in it for the past six years. The post-faction gameplay state started with that masterpiece Shadowlands and has continued over several ongoing expansions of Anduin, or, in this case also Alleria and friends fighting differently colored super villains on their own while everyone else maintains vegetative harmony and sometimes gasps for a crumb of screentime.
Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.

Tinkers will be the next Class confirmed.

D'you thin they'll go the route of utter obliteration of the old Eversong, Silvermoon, Ghostlands like they did with old Vanilla zones in Cata; or have it still be accessible via some Bronze dragon npc or something?

It's why BFA failed so badly. I mean with Teldrassil they just destroyed it completely. But with Undercity they just put it under a fog of plague. You just know that they didn't have to do that but felt the need to because they wanted to keep it balanced.

I don't think they will ever entirely axe a zone ever again.

Bad take and completely and willfully and in bad faith misunderstands how this feels for most horde players.
Sargeras is going to be the last titan and the rest of the Pantheon will die.

    12.0.5/12.0.7 - Isle of Fangs
    12.1 - Lordaeron and Undercity.

It would also make people feel ambivalent about committing to the neighbourhoods added at launch. If it is added it should be at the very end of the expansion.

If midnight cinematic is just Lorthemar and Xal fighting, then its a third disappointing cinematic in a row for me.

idk why you are agreeing with me when you were advocating for that a page ago.

Not to mention the entire scenario made no sense and was just another example of the Alliance being stupid.
