We know the Arathi are xenophobic.

But if the Arathi are the only ones on Avaloren, and they haven't met another race for centuries since they haven't been to our continents, how can they be xenophobic?

So it stands to reason that the Arathi are not the only ones on Avaloren, and that there's other races.

This discussion is nuts. The Arathi Empire / Avaloren is obviously being seeded as a place we can go to after the Worldsoul Saga. It doesn't make sense as patch content.

IF Avaloren is actually home of the Arathi I think we’d go there in Midnight to recruit them for the fight against the void given their prophecy on Renilash talking about the final battle between the void & light.

Thats also a possibility for sure. I personally think TlT and Northrend also makes sense for them to show up. Use the scarlet dawn fortress maybe. I am just saying that it doesnt have to be a whole continent and might ad well be intregraded in midnight or TlT for example.

The Hallowfall expedition is already there. It's probably impossible to get more reinforcements from their Empire.

Also, a lot of other characters/factions will probably take precedence. Naaru, Draenei, the Windrunner family, Nightborne, etc.

So why would they suddenly send more? The whole point of the expedition is that it is the ultimate strike force.

I just don't see how the Empire would be relevant in anything that's not Midnight, and I'd be very surprised if they will be in Midnight because it makes the expedition-plot point completely asinine.

Yeah, Midnight seems like it's going to have a very full cast of characters/races that should be involved already without trying to add in a bunch of randoms.

New continent is not connected to the rest of the map, you cannot leave the protective bubble over the continent, you get void damage and die if you try

Two new races, naga for the alliance and forest trolls for the horde
No new class, a new, third demon hunter spec, all elven races can be demon hunters now

Halurond dies in the cinematic protecting Lor’themar, Alleria is the new general
Darkness over all of Azeroth, elves have managed to put a protective light bubble around quel’thalas so now it is a sanctuary for all races
Xalatath wants to use Sunwell to corrupt Elune
First raid is the Sunwell, we need to work with Azshara, her nagas help us get inside the sunwell complex through underwater caves
Azshara betrays us, wants to take Elune’s place
Sylvanas is back with Anasterian Sunstrider

My biggest hope for Midnight (and TLT later) is that the team working on the expansion has had more time to work on Midnight than the usual 2 year timeslot they get. It used to be that when the expansion team finished worked on the expansion, they went to work on the next one, while the patch team took over. However with Midnight, that team is not the same one as the TWW team, so they have to have been working on it for longer. Similarly, the TWW team should be the one working on TLT. So rather than working on TLT for the usual 2 years, they're now getting 4 whole years.

Maybe it's hopium, but these two expansions sound like they're going to be massive based on the development time they've been through.

I'm not saying Blizzard couldn't make Avaloren an expansion continent, they very well could. But as pointed out they already made heavy speculated areas simple patch zones, like indeed Nyalotha/ Black Empire, or other planets like Argus and K'aresh.

I think Blizzard should make Avaloren an expansion continent but I've disappointed too many times.

I don't see how the Empire, that is lead by a guy who gets future visions, is going to show up, when we already have their strike force with us, yeah. The Hallowfall Arathi definitely will show up, but the Empire itself makes no sense.
