The voidstorm pre-event should take place in southern kalimdor, dornogal and Stormwind (specifically to fuck with alleria, otherwise I would limit it to the other end of the globe) to take us as far away from Quel'thalas as possible, where the actual voidstorm brews

Because nothing has leaked besides preorder bonuses (which even then seemingly may not be 100% accurate, as they may have added something new in 11.2.5), the text leaks have no verification. And nobody mentioned a voidstorm I believe. So we are nowhere.

My point was having the event be a "distraction" baiting us far away from Quel'thalas. It's really hard to tell distances with our crapped out world map, but I assume that at least Northrend, broken isles and dragon isles would not work with that specific idea.

Which also doesn't link up to any text links as last I checked Azshara is never mentioned. Only one that gets into raid story/patch content which means insta fake.

As another note, the marketing build up for this announcement is insane. They seem to be extremely confident in what they have to present. I'm really excited.

My favorite bit about the Housing pre-release and early announcement is that people think it means there is nothing else to announce.

...no? Do people forget that TWW had TALENTS as a reveal announcement? If there was nothing else to reveal they wouldn't have revealed it early. The fact that housing was revealed so early means there is other stuff to warrant a gamescom reveal.
