I like Saberon but they are never going to be more than the caveman archetype IMO, and they may be surpassed by Haronir in that regard. Though, I'd love to see the two fight.

Catgirls may never exist in WoW but I see fox people and rabbit people for sure.

I think it's a mix of cat races not really being important in WoW plus chances to be different than other settings... yes, okay, Tol'vir exist, but they are lame, so I always forget them. Sorry guys.

We already have rabbit people in WoW, Virmen? I mean they could make them closer to HS virmen which are yiff bait. The original concept art was closer to the HS version

    Immediately after the reveal.

Yeah, Virmen and Vulpera exist if they wanted to expound on more developed Rabbitpeople and Foxpeople, respectively.

Ironically, both rabbitpeople and foxpeople would fit very well with a Japanese-inspired expansion due to various folklore.

That in no way could possibly be confused with viera and pretending otherwise is being intentionally obtuse.
Sargeras is going to be the last titan and the rest of the Pantheon will die.

HS Virmen from my remembering are more fully anthro rabbits. Miqote and Viera are humans with cat and rabbit ears (before their culture is involved), I believe Nymrohd was speaking more for anthro furry races.

Rabbits in Japanese folklore are heavily associated with the moon. Nelves, in Vanilla WoW, had Japanese and Korean influences, so they can lean on Elune having asian folklore stuff surrounding her. I could see a rabbit race being her stewards and the Virmen being a weird offshoot that fell to Pandaria, likely because of how naturalistic it is.

We could have the more humanoid earlier concept version of the virmen on the moon and they'd just be a more evolved version like jinyu to murlocs

and adding a viera style race based off elves would be a really good way to also offer "strong female" "weak male" body type options if they dont wanna give races 3+ body types

and could fit in well with a group connected to a rabbit wild god which is one of the wild gods were missing, like a horse wild god and a fox wild god, I also dont think we have a monkey wild god? unless im tripping

Exactly. You could have V1 Virmen, Ankoan (more interesting and more Japanese Jinyu), V1 Vulpera and other Yokai inspired races in a WoW Japan expansion that is tied to Elune, based on her earlier Asian ties.

There isn't a canonical monkey wild god yet to our knowledge unless The Monkey King is and is pretending otherwise.

No. We have enough. Please stop doing this.

Elves basically are bunny girls already with their big floppy ears and jumping around nonstop.

I mean he is functionally immortal and extremely strong. So how is he different to an Ancient?

I think WoW Japan would be much more interesting than Khaz Algar- yes, all the races were "based on" existing races in WoW (Earthen, Half-Elves, Nerubians, Kobolds too) but similar to Pandaria, there is a lot of wiggle room on what they can do with the land and a shit ton of cultural references for them to play with, especially with all the yokai. And again, Elune would likely be linked to that land more than anywhere else.

The Jade Hare on the moon is pretty consistently present all across East Asia.
While the same is true for the fox spirit, it left the largest mark on Japan.
With Pandaren and hozen (and the monkey king himself) I'd say China is very well represented.
India, and South East Asia has the Naga.

What is left is WoW Japan, for which I nominated foxes, along with a notable hozen population that enjoys hot springs
And WoW Korea that needs to have tiger people. While no longer found in the wild since early to mid 20th century, the country had a large tiger popularion, the tiger is its national animal, and Korean folk tales even begin with "Back when tigers used to smoke..."

While I agree, that isn't exactly a high bar. Watching paint dry is more interesting than Dornogal especially after all the uniquness of their culture was purged during the campaign.

WoW Twitter posted a shortened version of the cinematic teaser today that I think has some new Xal'atath stills. You can barely see it but the reflection of her eye in this image almost looks like the Sunwell, perhaps?

Am I going crazy? Yes. This is what happens when my week-long break from work falls on the same week as Gamescom.

This is what happens to me when we're only one midnight away from seeing a beautified Quel'thalas.
