I got so used to the VE creation with HE skin, eye and hair color that I totally forgotten HEs are a thing. I also couldn't imagine a cool racial

I don't think they will ever do faction specific (allied) races anymore, especially if they revamp the whole race system.

I think they absolutely will and that making everything faction agnostic was a decision of a team which didn't like the foundational aspects of WoW and wanted to change it into something else.

There are toys and effects that transform you into different race and even change your race name so all they would have to do is change one maybe two racials on void elf and its done years of drama over.

Since WC2 onward the story was always about the Horde and the Alliance joining up against a common enemy even if they initially fight. Your idea of warcraft is 30 years old.
