I am bit interested to see how they tackle keeping the Void enemies interesting after K'aresh. There's only so many ways you can depict amorphous purple blobs. I am sure there's going to be void-corrupted elves and trolls too. But even then, primalists start looking like compelling villains by comparison.

It seems quite a few of the new insectoid enemies in patch 11.2 are actually not indigenous to K'aresh, but to the (fringes of the) Void. I hope the devs do indeed widen the spectrum of Void-mob aesthetics for Midnight.

Got shared some photos from a friend who's at GamesCom as a trade visitor, he didn't want me to share them directly, but I can describe them:

• There is a Housing-themed area with decoration making it look like the outside of a human inn, at least one part can be entered, saw sitting people, presumably the area where you can playtest Housing.
• Second, there's a stage for Midnight, with a Blood-Elf-looking but modernized skyline as the backdrop, like, obviously it's Silvermoon, but without context, you could think it's either Suramar, Nerubian or Venthyr architecture, I guess the blacklight-ish lighting morphs the perception, in normal light it'd be silver and red instead of blue and purple.
  Above are several panels onto which a Void Vortex projected - bad angle, I guess from a more central position the panels will look more like one continuous area. So, that confirms that kind of skybox at least for the Silvermoon area.

I have never understood how people enjoy that. Speculating and hype is fun but don't actually set ones speculation as expectation and then get mad when disappointment arrives.

If only people who are convinced that DH'll get a Void spec understood that.

My predictions:

No ethereals, no HElves, I hope for forest trolls but am prepared for my wishes to be crushed
No new class. Probably some void related hero talent thing, however
Hints at a Eversong housing area
Silvermoon isn't half and half, though there's a separate Alliance embassy at one end of the city and its mostly BElf

Give more customization to void elves and blood elves. Why make a new race when you can just give more customization to the existing ones?
I hope we have playable naga; that would be more original.

I'd rather they give customization to the races that are actually lacking it, rather than those that already have tons.

I simply don't agree. It has nothing to do with lore. All of us who are suggesting this have emphasized the fact the zone is a fan favorite.

It's not just going back to the same zones, and I don't think it would be viewed this way. We're talking about expanding Eversong and the Ghostlands almost 3 to 4 times over each, with assumingly 2 additional zones being added. The community in whole has been very vocal about their support of returning to old zones, which is why they're doing this.

It's perfectly fine to have some void scarred areas, some active battle zones, but drastically altering the identity of the zone removes the purpose of returning. We may as well have had prepatch events in old zones and just introduce X island like they've done in the past.

I agree. People were excited for WoD and it was just pristine Outland. I don't think the general population cares as long as the gameplay is fun, and the villains are cool.

If you live in Telorus and use Void Magic, you're part of the Void Elf faction. It could be playable Void Elf customization.

The preorder is a massive leak though. I think our standards are kind of crazy. We may get some major leak in the last few hours while they are setting up booths ofc.

So I was just thinking of if Amani trolls were playable, how the OG female trolls and Zandalari are basically the same model, but the males of each have two different models. I'm sure everyone remembers the hideous beta female troll model, but I actually would like an option to play a female troll with a posture more similar to that, the way the OG males are, lanky and crouching a bit like they are slinking through dense forest rather than pin-straight. And more options for female trolls and tauren faces please!

nah i understand its a huge leak , but i just mean in terms of like , giving us info about the expansion. while the preorder leak was crazy, it didnt really give us any new information about midnight. Granted, thats because we knew the general setting / theme ahead of time, but still

Yeah probably, I only started listening to hardstyle around 2017-2018 so I mostly listen to modern stuff.

I am already starting to feel a little void fatigue, similar to how people felt about fel from the end of WoD to Legion. I hope there's some non-voidy stuff in the expac aside from, like, elves. Elves and the void are super boring to me, so I really hope the mounts look cool because that's basically all I play this game for anymore.
