we have seen orcs, blood elves , and tauren (feltotem) that changed for consuming too much fel. It could be a customization option for classes (warlock, DH) that can be applied to any race. like DKs have undead skins

I believe the general notion is that the Arathi have been mixing for so long that they're their own distinct group, to me in a real world parallel would be the Anglo-Normans/modern English are, who are the outcome of Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, Viking, and Norman admixture.

i would assume a orc like scenario? green skin orcs don't use the fel anymore, they are still green, as are their children. So, blood elves that partook in fel energy consumption could give that to their children too.

That was retconned. The fel energy was passive from crystals and it wasn't socially acceptable to drain fel energy intentionally. Plus it's pretty much all flushed out by the Sunwell now.

Blood Elf and High Elf are political names really at this point. Not that there's any real politics in wow lmao.

The options already exist for Blood Elves too, so they can be justified. Granted, they would need HD updates.

Maybe I'm weird but an expansion with a meh setting but good gameplay doesn't hold my interest for long even if its fun. Tww is so much better than WoD but WoD setting was much more interesting to me so I had more fun in that one. Midnight is exciting for me because the theme and setting are the coolest to me since Legion or BFA with likely the best gameplay yet. The setting matters more than gameplay to me and thats probably a hot take.

I've been wondering, since in Midnight we are supposed to see "elven tribes reunification" - why would that be the case? What can happen to make blood elves and night elves go "yeah, lets be bff's now"? Clearly they care about different things. Night elves and Nightborne worship Elune. Blood elves worship Light. One thing that is common to all elves is the Well of eternity, and the Sunwell is made out of its waters. Another thing that is common for all elves, is that they all used to be ruled by Queen Azshara.

Both Queen Azshara and Elune make total sense in an expansion concerning entirety of elfhood. The expansion is also about the void vs light, and we have seen this duality in Elune: Moon Goddess, and Night Warrior. Xal'atath has mentioned that Elune is "upstart goddess". At the same time, what we have seen so far with Xal, is her own path to godhood. The same can be said about Queen Azshara which, the last time we saw her, was seeking the true throne of power. And the Naga's prophecy from Dragonflight suggests that Azshara works together with Xal'atath.

Both Azshara and Xal'atath are playfully arrogant, seeking power, yet forced into submission by their void overseers. Both have managed to escape their masters and are now seeking more power. Both have connection to Elune and void. They are on the same trajectory, with seemingly similar goals, but no narcissist will want to share the spotlight with someone else.

I wouldn't be surprised if Queen Azshara wants to take Elunes place (after all, she should be the one that is worshipped by everyone!), and Xal'atath helps her. But, I also wouldn't be surprised, if its Xa'atath that wants to take Elunes place. It might even be the case, that the two will work together, while at the same time each believing that they are using the other one as a mere tool to be disposed later. This could lead to interesting dynamic between the two, which will utimately be their downfall.
