What the hellllll? Getting both Nazjatar esque underwater and Rootlands vibes. Not prepared for whatever they're about to announce lol.

My last minute wishlist:

- expansion doesn't touch main EK - QT is: Eversong (elves), Ghostlands (elves + forsaken), Amani lands (trolls), unused area north of Stratholme (humans); build as new continent
- account-wide professions or at least recipes tab
- HC world tier from start
- small, but important (for me) additions to warbands: more slots in character camp screen (with option to customize how many slots you want in each camp), all achievement truly account wide, option to skip all warband completed quests/intros with one button
- some rework of rated PVP, focusing on solo que
- replacing LFR with story mode, LFR and Normal merge and you have option both for random queue or manually entering with group
- "vicious mount" system for removed Mythic+ mounts.

And of course epic, epic cinematic and less "screwing around" in story as Metzen said.

They are far closer to the people of Zin'azhari than the Kaldorei are. The only ones closer are the Nightborne.

I feel like people forget that Tyrande, Malfurion, Shandris... 90% of the Darnassian Night Elves were, even though they weren't Highborne, still citizens of Azshara's Empire. Azshara was Tyrande's Queen up until the Sundering and WoTA. They were just low born members of the same society. The Darnassians (what do we even call them now that Darnassus is gone, Bel'amethians?) and the Shen'dralar (who are now also Darnassians) are both groups of people who were Azshara's former subjects alongside the Nightborne.

The High Elves' ancestors were citizens of that same Empire, but the High Elves themselves aren't really Azshara's people anymore than Azshara is a member of the Dark Trolls.

That is a strange way to describe gradual hereditary changes, but you're right in the sentiment that Azshara has no connection to Quel'thalas. Do you think Azshara still thinks of herself as an Elf? I don't.
