The OG Warcraft stuff is very strong. The new stuff is not.
Don't know what they're doing with Amani and Ethereal.

Personal complaining part, feel free to skip:
This cinematic was really underwhelming to me. The whole announcement actually. The cinematic was simply uninspired, boring; the features are literally deterring. Feels like this expac is focused on a revamped QT and housing and they just couldn't really surprise me with anything more. Haranir (or however we spell it) are also boring, recycled models, and as much as they would have made sense in TWW, they're now way out of date. Players were asking for Ethereals or -- though I'm personally not a fan -- Amani trolls which would have made more sense since trolls are generally more liked. They should have just closed that Haranir story chapter in TWW. I hope others find things in the expac they like, but for me, this is bad news, I think the "go play another game, maybe WoW is not for you anymore" argument people "whining" like myself often get is starting to make sense now. I need to accept that WoW is never going to be what it once meant to me, it is getting farther and farther from it.
Discussion starter part:
Somehow the quality of this cinematic is way off for me. It's just nothing like previous cinematics, everything seems much blurrier, I see pretty unclear details in models, textures are also less clear and nuanced like skin and hair. I have a suspicion that they abandoned their original principle that they would not use generative AI, in fact I'm convinced they started using AI to at least build the base of the cinematic (character models, movements, or even the complete scenes) which they then manually polished maybe and they might have corrected obvious, typical AI errors by human input. But I just can't believe this was a 100% human created cinematic. If so, then the team must have suffered serious workforce loss.
The New Player Experience is a streamlined version of Dragonflight... not the The War Within, which is you know, the first expansion of the SAGA.
What the hell is going on??
The transmog updates and New Player Experiences (which is just reusing old content) feel like they'd normally be patch features.
But like... why not just use Botani? Who we saw run off into Azeroth??

The best feature in this expansion is capybaras.
It's part two of a saga - with faster releases/updates too - and folks are still struggling to temper expectations.
I think Midnight is going to be absolutely incredible and I'm not really interested in housing.

No they aren't. Most are Horde. Void Elves are all High Elves.
You can refuse to acknowledge it all you want, but the lore is quite clear on it.
That up there is your post, isn't it? So, well, you were denying it just a few minutes ago.
