There are a few things pointing to Ethereals being considered TWW content, for whatever reason.

We could still get them. They wouldn't be in the expansion trailer but maybe in the deep dive that's coming up.

There’s still Ethereal stuff in Midnight, I wouldn’t be shocked if we get them after we (finally) kill the Nexus king.
Definitely not a 12.0 feature tho.

By trailer I think they mean the gameplay reveal trailer, and I would think a new race would be put in there.

Notably not capital "A" Army, but "armies".

Probably an amalgamated force of other Light-focused groups, the Argents, Arathi, Draenei, Lightforged, maybe even some Scarlets.

They're keeping the strong features (dragonriding, delves), add a gigantic new one (housing) as well as a new experimental one (prey).

Then there's the usual (new zones with world-content, raids, dungeons). What's not to like? The premise looks interesting, the zones look amazing.

People have weird expectations.

Anyway, I really hope Harondar is reachable through Azj-Kahet/Khaz Algar.

Will void elf DHs have void fire eyes? The only picture I've seen had a blindfold that fully covered them.

Also Liadrin being both butch and boring is entirely in keeping with her character and people should expect nothing else.

That's what throws me - did people think her being prettier would make that blandness somehow more worthwhile? It's a non-symptom of a bigger issue.

To this day, Generic Blood Elf Priest in the TBC cinematic looks more attractive, yeah, but the thing I actually remember about her is that transition from seeming grace and serenity to MERCILESSLY SUCKING THE LIFE OUT OF THE MANA WYRM.

Like, what a great race establishment in just a few seconds, significantly better than a Draenei casting a Seal and walking away, as cool as Maraad looked.

Had to go out and run an errand, and while I was out, I thought on things.

Once I got over the "meh", for the most part I do like what I see. The Haranir (or Haronir or however the hell its spelled) don't interest me much, it does feel like they were supposed to be in TWW but got slotted out (maybe to put in K'aresh?). Their realm looks neat though, and maybe we'll get some more answers about what the hell the Beledar is too.

Voidstorm looks neat. Silvermoon is lovely. Overall a pretty bog-standard expansion, really, which is probably partly why it can be a bit disappointing.

It has no system gameplay feature other than Prey. Maybe Prey ends up impressive. But we have no reason to think there will be something new to classes other than an additional spec; prepare for 10 more skill points in your existing Hero Talents and a new DH Hero Talent and that's it. Playing new archetypes is for me the meat of RPGs and there is nothing that interests me in Harranir (nor was there on Earthen)

"High Elves" could just be additional "normal" hairstyles for Void Elves. That would pretty much do it.

I think the army of the Light is just a name for a coalition of light-worshiping forces. If I were to guess I think its probably the Arathi would got ported in, since the Beledar already did that once.

Alliance having one extra DH race doesn’t matter tbh.

I mean they could have written one? I don't care much about faction balance, but there are a few races that could have gotten the dh class too.

You don't always need to staple on new gameplay systems just because you need new gameplay systems. That just leads to bloat.
