Is the DH spec just a regular DPS? No support stuff? Is that experiment dead?

Is that what it is? I’d just have given only Devourer access to Annjikatir and then added either Aldrecchi or fel scarred to it and left the other two the same

And then add on Dalaran into the mix in Legion, where we were specifically told "It's still an Alliance City, just the Horde will be there" and they didn't really go the extra distance there either.

It's a weird situation where it leads into "Yeah, I don't actually care because it makes sense for the Horde to have access, it is what it is" and also "Now wait a minute, why does this ALWAYS only go one way?"
The majority of NPCs in Dalaran were ever Alliance coded. I doubt Horde felt at home there. But let's be honest, I doubt a tauren, goblin, troll and orc feels at home in Quel'thalas either.

I fully expect Augvokers to also be made regular dps tbh.

I mean, I'm going to be real here. The idea of "Alliance coded" only really matters to horde players in my experience, for completely understandable reasons. Alliance players, for as long as it's been a thing, have pointed out that "Hey, look. We aren't arguing that Cenarion Circle and Argent Dawn are humans and Night Elves. It's just not Alliance stuff". Especially when it gets into situations where those factions run head first into the faction conflict.

And again, I'm not even saying that doesn't suck and that Blizzard hasn't done a less than stellar job on giving the Horde a place in the world so the Horde Races can be seen as supporting Azeroth through their own organizations like the Earthen Ring, etc.

It's one of the best parts of Dragonflight because of the Reliquary being so present.

Honestly I am not even sure Horde players who are not elves feel anything elven is Horde-coded ever. But that's me. My human paladin feels more at home thematically in Quel'thalas than my Tauren shaman.

We know where the story is going after Midnight, it's up to Northrend for Last Titan.

We know that the Arathi Empire is a large, expansive empire elsewhere on Azeroth, as the characters talked about it during TWW.

We know that Avaloren is somewhere beyond the explored seas of Azeroth, which was stated in the log books we found in the Uldaman revisit.

It's not hard to add two and two and get four here. They're seeding what comes after the Worldsoul Saga. That work HAS to be done now, so we already know about it when we're wondering what comes next...

Oh so not its own zone, just an area for pvp in an existing zone.

That's definitely a thing. Blood Elves very much don't fit in with the classic Horde Aesthetics.

I think the skyriding changes will be awful. Part of what made it interesting was managing your vigor, but everything is just going to be on cooldowns? Yikes.

That's more a problem with the Horde being (ironically) 2 factions: the people that play Belves, and the people that see the Horde through the lens of the Warcraft games, and honestly, Garrosh, with the Horde being an Orc lead faction who are populated mostly by Orcs and Trolls and Tauren with some minor hanger on factions that came later.

Well, I’d quite like to toot my own horn - I’m amused that way back when Midnight was announced, that I called Magisters Terrace and Windfury Spire as dungeons. I hadn’t even thought of Murder Row, though. I hope it’s a silly dungeon in concept, similar in vibes to Freehold.

I did think we were going to get one of the Sanctums as a dungeon/delve in though. Same with the magic academy on Sunfury Isle.

Now emotions have died down, and expectations tempered I have some excitement. Though I won’t lie, I’m still disappointed about what this expansion could have been, the Midnight we were all discussing and hoping for zone/location wise.

I will also hold my hands up. I was catastrophically wrong. The Azshara AI images were certainly not real, and we haven’t gotten any Azshara (for shame).

After the cinematic, I sadly think we’re going to get Avaloren as a patch zone as opposed to using it as its own continent after TWS.

On the bright side, hopefully after this saga concludes that means we might get revamps of Kalimdor and the rest of EK as expansions.

Still slightly holding onto that Tel’abim dream too.

If you hate both WoD lore, as well as Shadowlands lore, good news: The powered-up Sunwell is creating killer everbloom plantlife. So much for Spirit & Light being totally different things.

Also, the whole impetus for the Blood Elves being so hard-line Horde also fell apart the moment the 10,000 year old alien priest-wizard helped an angel sacrifice itself to basically cure their ruined source of stability after they tortured it. At that point, it's like "...OK, Garithos sucked, absolutely, but we're following these goat people." TBC was a mess.

It's why this whole long-form storytelling thing doesn't really work a lot of the time with the factions as they existed post-WC3, but especially not if you keep giving them Messiah figures.

Horde elves are just red alliance. BE arent even fel elves now, they are light elves which makes them feel even more alliance. They could have replaced liadrin and Lorthemar with human paladins and it would have fit the cinematic perfectly.
