To further strengthen my point about the March on Quel'danas being a raid we 'lose':
    - During the feature trailer, right at the start, we see Nightborne (maybe Thalyssra as well?) and a few Void Elves looking at that same beam of Void-energy pulsing from the Sunwell, into the sky.
    - It seems we have to indeed unify the (Thalassian) Elves during the questing campaign and then assault the Sunwell together.
    - The Army of the Light seems to spearhead into the Voidstorm zone, presumably allying with Alleria's followers (and maybe some Ethereals). She'll most likely feature heavily in the raid of that zone (the bigger one with 6 bosses). Before the Sunwell gets taken.
    - Heavy tinfoil-hat speculation: Alleria may very well be the second boss of that Sunwell raid, if things do indeed get wildly out of control.

That armor looks shockingly like player armor. I am almost certain they will be an AR.

Now I hope they have something for Alliance like Broken to go with them, because Amani in Alliance would be too far. That may actually be why they are delayed? Kind of like Vulpera being delayed so long?
Well, we kinda expected a Draenei focused first patch anyways, so Broken and Amani for that would go haaaard.

One was focused on 2 characters, and the other was focused on many, like in Legion.

Another point: I don't think we've seen a SINGLE High Elf, including Vereesa, in any of this marketing. So they may be hiding them before datamining similar to how Arathi were not shown to be Half Elves before datamining.

    New models? Funny tattoos?

Nalorakk, as well as the other 3 Loa of the Amani (Dragonhawk, Lynx and Eagle) have been known to us for a while

The music is from the War Within, by the way. The heavy military-themed one from the launch cinematic, and also features in TWW's login theme.

In Zul'Aman we'll be interacting with two of Zul'Jin's grandchildren. The Vilebranch tribe seems to be villainous, and the Loa silent despite the threat of the Void. So we'll be aiding them (probably slightly reluctantly).

I also love how Zul'Aman looks quite dreary and somber. With lots of ruins, rain and overgrowths. Really the rugged lands the High Elves didn't want to take.

With Turalyon and Arator being in Silvermoon, it's much more likely those Paladins were Silver Hand/Army of the Light/Alliance Paladins.

EDIT: This seems to be the third raid. Look at the ray going up from the Sunwell at 01:39
Ah, I didn’t know Blizzard had confirmed that. In that case, everything I said is pointless.
I just hope that whatever happens with the Arathi doesn’t get wrapped up in a simple patch, but rather in an expansion after the WorldSoul Saga.

I'm trying to keep myself in check with this same thought. The new Twilight's Hammer NPCs in Zul'Aman are placeholder as well.

Still 2 more minor patches in TWW left. I didn't hear no bell. (My Ethereal cope is crazy)

They have mentioned cultists in a few of the previews. So, I doubt they're placeholders (maybe some outfits are, though).

Broken was directly set up in Dragonflight (Velen says "join us dude", Broken dude says "hmmm")- Ethereals were, unfortunately, never set up in that way, despite us going to Karesh.

Its weird how the official site completely omits the other grandchild and says Zul'jarra is the leader of the Amani.

Probably not looking good for Zul'jin grandson

Oop my bad then, he looks really good though! Yeah they nailed the Zul'Aman, art team cooking as always...

Or different levels of power, which is my hope.

Sorry, I meant the NPC models themselves are placeholder! I'm expecting new armor or models in whole. They're definitely Twilight's Hammer cultists!

Agreed on the new players playing just because of Housing, it's going to be a very important feature going forward.

I will say though as an old player (started in 07) my feelings towards what we've been shown so far is a bit underwhelming. We got told housing was a separate team so it wouldn't detract from the features of Midnight.

What are the features of Midnight? Prey (cool but low effort imo) and an AR. Housing was a feature but it shouldn't have been all there is if we take into account the fact they said it's another team. I guess DH getting a third spec but that's patch content to me (like Aug was)

I would say I'm getting old but I'm still only 32 so it's not that, but Blizzard seems to be cutting corners and just playing it safe, no risks, no cool new systems, imo the cinematic was nowhere as good as good as TWW(it looked really plastic to me, and a little cheap).

So like why's Blizzard still not taking any risks? Wasn't TWW supposed to be the rushed expac? I'm honestly more worried then not but I'm gonna reserve my judgment until Saturday when we have all info. Granted this whole event reeked of PR and just felt cheap, I'm a little disappointed but I'm sure the expansion will play out well, I just feel a little let down, especially on expansion features.

Where does it say that? I only see Zul'jin being mentioned on the official site. The press versions don't omit one grandchild or the other.

  17. #107877
Zul'aman delves not existing on several press releases means that nothing can be trusted before Alpha, LOL.

No Elf tribe unification, no High Elves, no Eredar, no Arathi, lots of things fishy so far that I'm sure will be revealed in time.

Also- no PVP talk, but new BG? I still have hopes for a rewards refresh.

I gave you a list of examples otherwise.

When your argument that a lack of mention means a lack of presence, it doesn't work when they still drop 8 dungeons and 11 delves without telling us in the trailer. WoW has a formula.

Do you think there won't be seasons, too? No patch content? They didn't mention patch content and we're heading to the Sunwell showdown raid in 12.0 where we "banish the Shadow forever" if we go off what Chris says & does that mean TLT is coming right after? No, because that's batshit insane to believe.

Could be the grandson is the religious leader and granddaughter is the military leader. At least that's my hope.

I am really tired of trope of helping these races with obviously evil leader and betrays them.

Oh he definitely looks majestic! The art team is really nailing it once again, indeed. And I'm glad that we aren't 'genociding' Trolls again, but actually allying with a few.
