Void Elves will likely just use the blood elf exterior and have the choice to color it purple instead of red. They don't really NEED anything different because they don't use different architecture.

I would be shocked if we couldn't dye the exterior parts of the building like we can the interior. pieces.

God I still can't believe blizzard refuse's to invest in animated series, this style is just soooo good.

Yeah. This was one of the last Hearthstone cinematics. Everything after this went downhill.

From what they said that Gamescon "Blizzard is known for their cinematics" so wild to seem them abandon this as their identity and replace it with nothing.

Umbric's new gear and the tent on the life point to their new aesthetic being themed after Alleria's new outfit. Kind of an inverse of the Belf colors.

I like the lore, which I'm surprised by, and it fits the SAGA- just not this expansion. Azuremyst, Zulaman, Quelthalas and Xal's blueberry Hellscape would be a perfect throwback to TBC. Especially as Voidstorm surprisingly ended up more like Netherstorm than Karesh did.

I assume Azuremyst is still coming and just needed more time to cook, and if it's in I will feel a lot better about Harandar, but its a missed opportunity for launch. At least Voidstorm at launch and Karesh being early dealt with means the last patch will be a mystery.

I'm guessing that the Haranir have a lot more to do with the big reveal about Azeroth than we know, so there really was no other place for them. I think I would've preferred them in TWW, but I'm still more excited than I thought I would be about them.

I think it's both. I like how it feels like exploring them / their lore / their connection to Azeroth will touch on a lot more grounded aspects of the lore, from Vanilla/BC - it'll definitely have an angle of being connected to the Life aspect of the cosmos, but we also have a lot of local lore to revisit in that context.

Ok after consuming all of the info now, my vibe on this expansion just feels like "should be cool". I'm not overly excited about anything at all. I'm not into housing, I basically bought a house in ESO and have 3 storage chests lol.

So my hopes for this one to be a Legion-level expansion are kind of dashed. They COULD add Ethereals in 11.2.7 or maybe down the line in 12.X, and maybe the 12.1/12.2 patches could increase my opinion of it - if they add more paladins, maybe another spec or two. But historically WoW frontloads all of its major stuff, so Midnight feels like it has a bit of a ceiling now. It's not going into the upper echelon with Wrath and Legion for me. But where it sits in the mid-range expansions is still up for grabs.

TLT will be the next legion, with Tinkers, Ulduar, and the big world soul saga finale. They need to give everything they can with TLT.

I think it's both. I think it will occupy the same space as the Archaedas quests from TWW. Just expanding and recontextualising some of the lore, while still leaving some ambiguity.

I never did, I always knew that TLT was the hype one. Midnight was always going to be carried by its theme (Blood Elves) and housing.

Anyone who believed Tinkers would come for Midnight was deluded imo, it absolutely did not fit the theme (in spite of what Taliesin was defending for example, which to me was utter non sense). Bard? Perhaps. Spellbreaker? Could have been, if developed properly. A void class? Maybe, if we didn't have the hints of the third spec DH. Tinkers makes way more sense in TLT (and so does radiant song Bard) than any other expansion, we're literally going to head to Ulduar again and it's probably going to be expanded, with titan technology having some central role. If Tinkers doesn't happen during TLT though, I think it's pretty much over for any hope of it ever happening.

that looks more like a tent in the back, and they've always kinda lived in tents, but the color scheme is pretty different, yeah! I could see the blood elf stuff working if you also make the metals silver, the stone walls white, and the red accents purple.

I really think it'd be cool if they can evolve beyond being a cult, and become a proper, functioning civilization or at least city state maybe. Give them their own buildings and a place to call home that isn't a rock with tents.

I mean, we said Midnight would be like Legion. It really was mostly because of the overhype dude to the dev comment about the feature list. And really, the only feature that is impressive is Housing (but Housing IS super impressive)

Nah its definitely new, Twilight's hammer is too old to have assets in that style, and their colors were pretty different and the tents weren't as closed off.

Tinkers made super sense both in BFA (azerite tech, Gnome zone and dunegon, mekkatorke raid boss, goblin dungeon, war itself...) and TWW (Earthen tech, titan stuff, Goblin full patch, ethereal tech) but both came out after an expansion that already added a new class.

TLT is our last hope...
