And SL lack of popularity was defo only due to cosmic themes (which I admit was part of the issue), not to the fact that players were exhausted with temporary powers, content draught, weak villain and Blizz drama going on behind the scenes.
I really don't care about faction conflict, most expansions barely used faction conflict in their plot, but all of them until BFA had strong faction/playable races story development, and the main plot was told from their perspective, which I already talked extensively in previous posts.

Shadowlands had M+, a lot more content than WoD, around the same amount of grind we had in BFA/LEGION, was released in a period of time that everyone was mostly locked in their homes, and the gameplay was pretty much the same as BFA/LEGION, the most notable change was the storytelling, themes, and setting.

Meanwhile, Classic popularity dropped so dramatically that Blizzard kept re-releasing it nearly every year with a new twist.

Anyway, I'm so tired of arguing about it, you don't need to worry, I'm 100% sure the next expansion will use the same formula as recent expansions, so enjoy.

Yes, they kept re-releasing it, because it is low effort easy money due to peeps coming back for release and consecutive expansions being less clunky and more popular. And SL could have same or less amount of grind than in Legion, but it was a third time in a row. People had enough. And SL had huge content draught, especially when compared to Legion. People locked in home didn't mean they would simply play WoW, especially if expansion is lacking.

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

No worries mate I got what you meant.

I think Fyrakk in visage form will be the final boss of the Dream raid (maybe he shifts into the dragon form sometimes?) and Tyr or Iridikron's visage form will be the final boss if there is another patch. The concept art of Iridikron's visage form shows him without his cloak, so maybe he takes it off for his fight.

I am starting to believe Iridikron will be carried over into future expansions. And for that matter I imagine Tyr or some other Titan Watcher will be the final boss. Either that or some wildcard dragon like Alexstrasza.

Tyr makes the most sense for the final boss but I am not sure it will be him after the dungeon boss, it would be too repetitive. Maybe it's some kind of Titan construct powered by Tyr and/or Odyn?

The Tyr dungeon boss was both in the middle, and for that matter not very in-depth. I could easily see a more fleshed out raid boss Tyr using the enviroment and such to really have more to him.
It's not like a dungeon boss later becoming a raid boss is entirely new as well.

I vote Odyn, that dick head needs to go.

I would be down with a double Tyr/Odyn fight as well.

Maybe there's an Order dragon? I know the Aspects are essentially that but it would be interesting if they created a fully Titanic/Arcane dragon.

So like a Dragon that's Titanforged (Much like the Aesir and Vanir)? Or like just a fully Arcane amped Dragon that's made for Order? Cause if you mean the latter...

Then that's the literal Blue Dragonflight.
Yeah, a Titanforged Dragon. The Cloud Serpents and Storm Drakes are clearly a similar kind of idea (Cloud iffy, but implied to be a Titan creation in the time rifts), but I was thinking a fully Titan dragon.

    YET.

    He's been mentioned plenty though.

Im just basing it on the time between patches we have seen so far. It means they are OK with diverging from their tight schedule and delay more. Late october means around april/may for that would be 10.3 and that would be too short to bridge towards the new expansion in november or something. Still, not certain, but it has medefinitely more leaning towards no 10.3 than before.

They said that it "would return in some form" and that they would in that case add something for world content too if that were the case. Ion said it would be more of an outro instead of a full patch cycle. A fated season would be no longer than ~3 months.

    https://www.wowhead.com/news/dragonf...-329950?page=2
"Season 4 was a huge experiment, both with returning older dungeons in M+ and fated raids. Neither were without flaws, but participation and community feedback indicated that they were still successful and it beat having another 3 months of just Sepulcher. In that sense, it's something they're probably going to return to in some form as an "greatest hits" outro or epilogue before the next expansion."
Thats why I'm now leaning towards no 10.3.
10.2 Late october (6-7 months) -> Fated season starting april may (3-4 months) and then 11.0

I still think it makes sense for them to not do fated if they don't need to (there's more than enough story stuff to make a 10.3), but it is what it is

    He's a candidate.

I'm still on Muro as FB.

    Could still be Iri though.

Fyrakk and Vyr are definitely not though. They don't have FB vibes

I can see Tyr getting rezzed, running some kind of diagnostic, and doing something that Alex/us considers "bad" (hence the "betrayal") that is 100% in line with the goal of the Titans. If we kill/defeat him that could cause Odyn to go on the defensive, leading to a Titan civil war where some keepers side with/against us as we move towards future expansions.

argus made no appearance at all during legion, with Blizzard all bets are off

If I were to guess based on what we have seen so far I would say he is going to wake up, go to the Ruby Lifeshrine, then decide that the egg we saved way back has to die. Alexstrasza will object, and Tyr will take this as betrayal when she rightly places the life of the eggs above his plans for "perfect" dragons.

Difference here is that they said for DF that we'd know who the final boss was by the end of the Vault of the Incarnates raid. Far as I'm aware they never said anything of the sort for Legion.

That being said yes they can definitely change their minds.

I didn't remember this. Do you remember when they would have said it?

They never said that, did they?

There will inevitably be a big bad in the expansion. However, just as we experienced with Mists of Pandaria, we will have to wait to find out who it is. We'll start by learning more about the threats to Dragonflight, just like we did with the Sha and Mogu on MoP. Eventually, we will find out who the threat of Dragonflight is. It will be necessary to explore, understand the world and wait before knowing who is the main threat of the expansion. You have to understand how the story unfolds so as not to imagine that a character comes out of nowhere.
is that quote, which is completely different.

That quote makes me think it's NOT gonna be Primalist related, seeing how they are the Sha and Mogu of DF.

They are turning more and more into the "Titans bad" direction, so I can actually see something to that extent being the last boss.

This egg was mentioned before, was it the egg that Sendrax saved? It would make sense if this was the story from the start, but it honestly makes the Primalists (beside Iridikron) feel like filler if the ultimate story is Dragons breaking free from Titans/Tyr.

Though that's what it is looking like.
