Some people really would destroy any working system for the sake of change. Current upgrade system not only is best itemization we ever had, but also is synced perfectly with professions. Only thing we need is removing valorstones (or just making them currency for alts and alt gear with option to turn crests into valorstones).

With the crest cap its probably the worst itemization we ever had but if they remove that then its ok, would be better if crests weren't used for lower tier items (gilded for hero items etc) but best would probably be to just remove the upgrade system.

I'm curious at what plans Blizzard have for gear upgrades and what the prey system will reward. Delves could have been a disaster but I feel they've balanced the rewards to hit the right spot, if they can do the same for prey then it will be a very welcomed feature.

I think prey will share the Delve reward structure; hero from vault, champion otherwise. It will be something to do so you don't have to do 8 delves

I'd say the consensus is it is the best system we ever had. Without the crest cap the level of grind required in the early season would be akin to borrowed power. You'd be spamming the easiest M+ as much as possible to grind out your runed and gilded crests.

Literally, the only thing that I would wish for is a way to get like an upgrade token to go to the next track, maybe by using a Catalyst charge or using a Vault Token

I would love for some way to get some really interesting trinkets or cantrip items from world content upgraded to Hero and Myth track. Perhaps something combining Vault coins and Enchanted Crests?

I dont know how anyone can say this is the best system we ever had when it sucks ass finding a bis item and having it sitting in your bags waiting to be used 1-2 weeks later, and also the fact that you dont even upgrade your champion and hero to max because its a waste of crests. It feels terrible. I understand blizzard wants you to feel some sort of charater progression but this aint it.

That's literally not even the case, because you upgrade the slot, not the item, bare a few exceptions like Rings/Necks/Trinkets, for which it's usually still better to just equip it if it is your BIS.

The whole "min-maxing crests" thing is such a community issue as well because in the grand scheme of things, it's irrelevant, really. All it does is make you reach the Runed achievement really, which doesn't do anything for your main until the Turbo Boost anyway.

With the old system, you do a 7, you get a trinket, it's gonna suck ass regardless, because you have to get it from a 10.

For Raiding, nothing would change.

I'll settle for either! I have almost every reputation maxed out on my main so it'd be great to have access to all the vendors on my alts, too. Especially if housing stuff is going to be available there.

I have max rep with the BfA Alliance factions on one character that is like Level 50 right now, while I haven't done any BfA stuff on my actual Alliance main, and I really wanna get all the Paragon Rewards, so I really hope it comes out soon.

Legion also has quite a few Artifact appearances that require renown, so that would be nice as well.

How is it waste of crests to upgrade certain bis items? You literally get 100% discount on future items up to that upgraded ILVL anyway, like what?

I wish it did. From what it appears right now, legion remix ends & the velf demon hunters come with with the arrival 12.0 - Personally I think it would have been more appropriate for the new race/class combos to come with 11.2.7, which would be in the middle of Legion Remix.

It's never better to hold back on upgrades unless you're saving up for an enchanted crest. Not upgrading Champion and Hero track to cap is only worthwhile if you already have a higher track item for that slot.

It sounds like there has been no prep work to the servers so it's unlikely to be this coming week, not impossible, but unlikely. I would expect some kind of news dump this coming week - class blogs or new info of some kind, then the alpha the following week.

The problem is that the devourer spec means demon hunter talents need a rework to make talents fit, also the apex talent is a bit part of how devourer will function, it's not possible for it to come until the pre patch, void elfs on the other hand could be anytime.

Turboboost is in what, 2 weeks? By now you should have everything at 710 unless you have normal cantrip boots and no mythic boots. Runed crests should be useless by now, and also it makes literally 0 sense to sit on gilded crests waiting to upgrade items you don't have since crests will be uncapped soon anyways, and you usually get 1-2 new mythic items per week.

The Void Demon Form is definitely not a toggle.

They also said that all the DH abilities will be reskinned into Void versions if you play Devourer. I mean, it's a new spec afterall.

I'm still holding out hope that this is the case, but the write-up on the spec on the official website directly states void elves & Devourer are coming with the pre-patch. (Keeping in mind, the official midnight website articles are peak chatgp shit and may not be accurate.)

When Evokers were not added to Legion Remix, that did kinda reveal the fact that Devourer DH would not be in it either.
It would be less obvious than Evokers given they would at least have had an Order Hall. But it would have required a lot of tiny additions to ensure it doesnt break the game.
