Harandar is in phase 3. Gonna assume that's when we'll play as the Haranir.

I just do not see any Roleplaying even though it'd make so much sense for them to focus on that with Housing as baseline. I just don't really believe and again I think the strings were most likely not about surname additions for RP Servers but something else entirely.
I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

I think they are loathe to make any big selling point something related to "Roleplaying" because, regardless how popular it is, there are multiple negative connotations with the word. It's more likely going to be snuck into an update like the /lean pose was (hugely popular thing that they barely made any mention of introducing).

I think the embarrassment towards roleplaying in what's ostensibly a roleplaying game in some capacity is very misguided.
Subrace labels, surnames, more emotes should absolutely be a more common thing, albeit obviously not a top priority.

Right. I acknowledge the other end, so that's why I concede, it is definitely not as important as, say, class design, a good pool of dungeons and raid encounters, even Delves or Prey. But it should be pretty significant in the same way even single player games construct around and perpetuate a fantasy.
I've never understood why it's so black and white for some people who want a lobby looter shooter. Even some of the most iconic stuff in the game came from RP you had to wait through for some bosses - Thorim, Jaraxxus for examples.

It's nothing more than people not wanting an iota of dev time being spent on something they don't like (in this case, roleplay options). Happens for everything in this game. I've seen people seethe about pet battles, even.
Didn't see that Metzen is doing the deep dive which is nice. I wonder if this is just the original video that was planned but with Holly's part cut out?

It's sad. I love to raid (and I can tolerate, M+, I guess), but I also love the interconnectivity of stuff. I would love for example if M+ had like an actual place in the game as a concept rather than just a thing that's in a game, for example. I love how you have to raid and M+ and sometimes PvP or do Delves to get the best gear, and I don't mind so much that you have to farm for stuff because I (mostly) enjoy everything Blizzard does.
But playing the game with friends who are way more into purely playing M+/Raiding is hair-pulling. Anything that is the slightest amount of friction like 10 seconds RP or having to do a small quest chain to unlock the cloak is unfun..

She seemed to not be used to european crowd that doesn't overexaggerate. Apart from that not much.
Speculating whether or not the video they're doing on 1st october is the one they had planned to do after gamescom reveal before they changed plans.

No one is doing this on the level you're implying. You seem to be really obsessed about what other people speculate about.
These posts i've seen from you for the past week reek of projection.
If you don't like speculating, just don't read the thread or at least keep these weird comments to yourself. It really adds nothing to the discussion. Don't make things bigger than they are.
I will not reply to posts that are non-constructive or contain flaming and/or trolling.
I'd assume its' a new one and they're trying a full reset of Midnight marketing, but I mean they could have just cut the portion of Hollys' part in it and then replaced the first scene when we see all of them with just Ion and Chris.
But yeah, this is probably going to be a much better way of presenting than what ended up happening.
Its' been weird in that sense because we're now seeing the wider video market understand the value of Roleplaying and the interconnectivity aspects of your Video Game platform being a space for multiple parts. Something which I find very funny considering if Warcraft Team looked beyond their nose they would essentially already have what others are now realizing the value of in this space. At least, they seem to be aware just like the industry now though.
But, then again anger towards out groups when it means to preserve our in group is just something that was always part of the WoW discourse.

No offense but there have been several "Metzen clearly isn't at Blizzard anymore because he wasn't at Blizzcon!" and "Something must have happened with Holly because she isn't part of the WoW Direct" posts which are incredibly weird and icky and yeah I will call that shit out.
It's one thing speculating about the game, but speculating about employees is just weird.

Also, it's a German audience, which is notoriously bad. I was there at the Legion one and aside from a few cheers, it was generally incredibly quiet. It's gonna sound crazy as well, but there still is a biggish language barrier.
i mean, its not wrong

Just bring the oversized, expansion-themed bowling shirts back for the announcements and it'll all work itself out.
