So we already have a full list of 11.2.7's features.

Visions of the Shadowed Sun (epilogue, alleria)
High Elf Lorewalking (bard sylvanas toy)
    Shadowlands timewalking
    Preliminary Housing
    Brawlers' Guild Returns

There was also that mystery event but that will remain a secret. In fact it might even come out in 11.2.5

How many houses do we get at launch? One horde, one alliance?

Is that a new thing games do? Most open-world games would be incredibly boring with realistic distances, you'd have to travel for hours or even days between points of interest.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

It's hard to make a world with realitic distances while still having a somewhat enjoyable game.

The issue with current wow is more that old world scale is very different to new world scale; look at a regional town in Kul Tiras (Corlain or Brennadam) and compare it to the size of a regional town in Stormwind (Redridge or Darkshire). This becomes more obvious with a revamp; Stormwind would be a single zone by current standards with all four zones combined. We see it to an extent with Eversong; Points of Interest all grew larger making distances between them smaller. Imo Goldshire should be reaching the gates of Stormwind

Yeah, WoW's world scale is off in several way. Just imagine the amount of farms Stormwind alone would need to not only sustain it's civilian population but also it's army. In game the Kingdom of Stormwind has like a dozen with most of them either being in some form of disrepair, occupied or besieged.

Nah that's not my point. That will never be accurate and doesn't need to be accurate. You still need to have some farms of course but they are an abstraction. The issue is that new zones are just built with points of interest being many times the size of old zones.

About the fel-looking rivers in the datamined Zul'aman extension island-

Sargeras created the Burning Legion and started his crusade to stop the Void from corrupting a Worldsoul. At least some of his followers (at the very least, the Nathrezim, who convinced him to do this in the first place) were aware of that goal. So, with all that in mind... could that green be Legion remnants here to fight the Void?

We have seen a few hints at demons getting involved in the Saga already. One of the Kriegval's Rest scenarios has had a mysterious Pit Lord watching the boss fight for a while now, and the upcoming novel is supposed to be about Arator and family investigating Legion remnants on Outland. Maybe they could be monitoring Xal'atath, and stepping in during Midnight's patches to prevent her from reaching the Worldsoul?

Assuming this is right, I'm not even sure whether they'd be enemies turning this into a three-sided war, or surprise "allies" in an Enemy Mine scenario where we temporarily work together to stop the Void (and if they go that route, knowing that Sargeras will likely return with the Pantheon, I'd expect them to turn on us and rejoin him once Xal'atath is truly defeated). A Legion Renown would definitely make for a really distinct patch faction to work with.

And if they are here to fight the Void, I wonder if it might be the Nathrezim in charge at the moment- maybe even Denathrius himself? Again, the Nathrezim were the ones who pitted the Legion against the Void in the first place.

On the other hand, we do have some ex-Legion allies already in the Penitent (redeemed Man'ari). Maybe they could be involved, as part of a Draenei patch? Though this feels less likely- I doubt the Penitent would come without the rest of the Draenei, yet there's only signs of Fel on the map- and they wouldn't have anything to do with the Legion hints I mentioned (which I expect to lead to something).

It's gonna be a curveball and it's actually decay and 12.1's raid is about finally taking down decatriarch Wratheye who for some reason took up refuge there after Brackenhide Hollow.

There also seem to be a few Zandalari ships stranded on the coastline. Probably from back when Zul recruited the Amani back in Cata?

I really don't think that fits unless it goes through some drastic changes. Fel and Decay have very different aesthetics, and the images match Fel-green perfectly. Decay would be far more brown based on what we saw in Brackenhide.

With that said, I just looked at some screenshots of other areas while trying to find those images to double check, and it looks like Voidstorm has some pools of the same green stuff, so we might get at least some context when Voidstorm testing starts in a few weeks.

That's straight up Fel slop. The bones give it away.

I could see it as just being setup for the Legion's return for after the Saga, with Denathrius as their leader.

Or it could be a Legion invasion left over. We know they tried to invade Death, why would they not try to invade the Void?

Very disappointed Dracthyr are only mentioned as possibly getting more barbershop options, rather than actual transmog. Was hoping the developers would be more focused on actually fixing the issue rather than tending the symptoms.

I wouldn’t even give them that much credit. It was just another “No current plans, but don’t get mad at us since we can vaguely imply that the possibilities are endless in the future with no actual intent to do anything”-type answer.

It was definitely an answer that could easily just be construed as meaning any barbershop option, no matter how minor. But Dracthyr transmog is one of those issues that the developers really should just commit to actually fixing, or be honest about leaving broken forever.

Or it could be from the arena dungeon. We know they have kidnapped a bunch of creatures. Why not a demon?

Those rivers in Zul'Aman are made out of poison, not Fel. One of the dungeons also shares this aesthetic.

The Fel props in the Voidstorm are most likely because of arena-fighters from the Burning Legion who've been captured by the Domanar. Why? Because Maria mentioned how one of the dungeons has a whole menagerie of 'cosmic' threats the Domanar like to watch fighting.
