It would be nice if this info was shown on the character creator screen, so that people who want to immersive themselves into the lore of their character have something to go on. I assume it's gonna be mentioned in the opening intro though. I wonder who's gonna narrate that. I hope it's the same VA that narrated the deep dive trailer but it's most likely Orweyna.

I personally liked the Maw. You had to have a plan to maximize your time there and that was fun for me. Your weekly visit there was a scenario all on its own.

The pre-9.1 Maw was very well executed for what it set out to do. It's just that what it set out to do was also infuriating. Ditto the first couple Torghast weeks.
Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.

I will add that I am maining a tankadin so my experience in any largely solo content is inherently different to that of e.g. a shadow priest.

I doubt that'll be an issue for the Haranir. It's still an Allied Race that isn't unlocked until you quest through Harandar. Anyone able to make a Haranir should already know exactly what they are, and will probably see this group set out firsthand. That's the upside to Allied Races- the process of unlocking them shows you everything you want to know.

Only the Earthen's introduction was muddled, since they randomly had the unlock at the end of the launch campaign instead of when they should have naturally joined (Dawn's awakening). If the Haranir are really joining after the Haranir leveling portion, then I'd expect a cleaner introduction like the BFA Allied Races got.

Also, about that Deep Dive Trailer comment, did you mean the Gameplay Reveal? I don't remember any narrated trailer connected to the Deep Dive. Liadrin and Xal'atath narrated that one (which is confirmed in the subtitles), so I wouldn't expect them to do the Haranir introduction.

No, this one. The narrator reminds me of the narrator for the original race intros.

Aren’t they the missing link to elves? I imagine they wouldn’t want anything to do with troll culture while being somewhat skeptical of elves.

I wonder how they feel about dark trolls, and of Sylvanas burning down a World Tree.

Edit: Great, once again the formatting is corrupted on mobile

They are not a missing link, but a divergent evolution.

Nelves and Haranir had a common ancestor that evolved from Dark Trolls.

Some of those guys went underground, the rest stayed on the surface.
Evolving into Haranir and Nelves respectively.

Calling other races “lesser” is messed up, but even calling Zandalari that? Haranir are in for a culture shock

Idk why you people are so surprised.

Elven superiority complex, particularly their xenophobia against Trolls, has been established for ages.

So are they like the dark trolls who lived around Hyjal and followed the roots below ground?

Blizzard should never have introduced the original flying. The game would have been better off for it.
Well, they did - you cannot put that genie back in the bottle

Besides - the majority of the game's life flying has been a thing - if it really bothers someone they've had ample time to realise the game is no longer catering to their tastes

I'm saying if you think skyriding is comparable to regular movement you are simply misunderstanding the depth of the system - it's pretty unique as far as wow systems go and losing it would be a tremendous loss - not that it matters, blizzard themselves have said it is never going away - which is great

Dynamic flight isnt that dynamic anymore, flap upward a few times and then just slightly fly down. Almost no vigor lost.
As I said earlier, just keep it locked to a certain level. That also helps from blowing through content and doesn't make them require to make huge ass zones where half or more of the areas are empty spaces.

They should just design zones made for ground movement, then whoever wants to skip content by flying can do that. I don't understand why they design zones for flying when players who are so obsessed with using it couldn't care less about 99% of the content of this game.

    Silvermoon looks amazing though?
