Silvermoon should have been a questing zone

It kind of is. It's part of Eversong. There are quests to do inside the city. I just hope there's also world quests to do within the city, for example, with murder row.

I really wonder if TLT will finally let us play as Vrykul. Never really understood why a race that is seemingly already rigged to use regular transmog (if none of the 3D elements) would stay as an NPC race.

It's obviously serviceable, but not at the standards they set for themselves with previous works.
The thing is they wanted to keep it relatively the same and as people remember. I'm glad they went this route. I don't want a revamp to change everything about the place and make it unrecognizable.

You wonder that after Midnight does not let us play Amani?

Same as Ogres - too niche to cause huge sales. Same as HE btw, this 20 or so twitter fans and visitors from megathread will not cause huge margin.
Also both Ogres and Vrykuls are too big to fit in doors. Taurens was downsized to fit, Zandalari are the most they can offer in that term.

Really like them too but now that I'm doing the warrior's class hall, they might be way too big as they make even Taurens look short. They could also make the playable Vrykul a bit smaller I guess, still bigger than a Tauren/Zandalari but not as big as the standard ones you see in the Halls of Valor. They could be a playable race at the same time as Ogre so it'll be two of the biggest playable race at the same time.

We have yet to see what Midnights true race is as the launch race is TWW content.

Midnight is already better than BFA because they don't have a big faction war so they could focus solely on the plot. BFA had potential to be the best without wasting content budget on faction war stuff.

The Amani have just shown up, so I will cut them some slack in that regard. I am not counting the Amani as a lost cause until 12.2.5 is released.

We do have Dracthyr, which are the newest largest race. So about that size maybe?
The size might be an issue if you want ot be entirely authentic. But I can accept a smaller variant. Just so long as they are unquestionably taller than all the other human variants.

I think they made it fairly clear a race with unique animations is unlikely. So imo, Vrykul, Ascended Nerubains, and Tuskarr are all off the table.

I was semi-joking earlier when I said Taunka would be the TLT AR but it actually tracks based off what they've been doing.

I don't know how many time this has to be said, but they don't base ARs off popularity. That should be fairly apparent after they made Earthen an AR

Taunka aren't Light users so they're also off the table.

The Tauren lore being introduced is purely based on how they perceive the Light via An'she, so basically any known Tauren Paladin or Tauren Priest characters, which again, puts Taunka off the table.

Gral gets a mention a few times, who has only been mentioned literally once in the entire story so far. So there's potential for more Troll lore there.
So they are heading in a direction which is Evil Light vs Good Light users saga. The opposite of the Sun in Tauren Lore, is the Moon, who Tauren see as Elune, which will bring Night Elves into the story as its their Goddess but not the Taurens.

As we know, the sun doesn't exist to people in northrend.

The Tauren weren't light-users in WotLK either? I don't really see how that prevents them from anything.

I don't believe there's anything that pointed toward the Taunka having radically different beliefs than Tauren either. So nothing saying they can't have some connection to An'she themselves.

Didn't know the Dracthyr were that tall as I tried to avoid noticing them. I guess the playable Vrykul would be a bit taller than Tauren, Dracthyr, and Zandalari. Make a custom auto animation that plays when they tried to go inside small doors like bending down a little.

And not to mention Ogres and Vrykul even if based on popularity would still be way more wanted and cooler than things like Earthen, Vulpera, Mechagnomes, and especially the Dracthyr.

No but a certain light user did try and join the Horde during BFA before the Alliance thwarted the meeting.

    San'layn
    Light user - Check.
Tried to join a faction - Check.
Potential for AR - Very possible.

Are you really saying the Earthmother didn't exist before Cataclysm? I know it got made redundant after Mulgore but cmon, silly thing to say. I'm not even sure the Taunka follow the Earthmother, let alone follow the Light.

No, I am saying the lore that connects An'she with the Light didn't exist then so it would of been impossible to elaborate on. Regardless, I don't see how 20 year lore (which will get heavily revised anyway) is something gatekeeping to Taunka having a connection to the Light. Or that connection is even necessary for them to be an AR in the first place.

I don’t see anything wrong with it, under the right lighting (Inky Black Potion) it looks gorgeous.

Because dont fit in alliance or horde

The Stormheim ones fit the Alliance quite well honestly. They would probably logically hate the Horde for the actions of Sylvanas. And you could easily conjure up some story where they feel kinship with humans due to also having had to leave Northrend.
