One day Arator is going to be caught in a sting operation by Chris Hansen or Skeeter Jeans.
I'm willing to let it slide if it means Yrel and the AU timeline can come back. Having that timeline just disappear is worse since that would make WoD not matter as much. Had WoD never existed than I would rather not have a AU expansion but since it has ALREADY happened than I wanna make the most of it or something good out of it. So might as well have the WoD expansion matter more instead of just dismissing it.
2/9/26 power level update - Sargeras > Pantheon Titan > Galakronk > Chromatus >Worldbreaker Deathwing(HS) > Herald Azshara (HS) > Herald Ragnaros (HS) > Herald Al'Akir (HS) > Herald Cho'Ghall (HS) > Herald Onyxia (HS) > Midnight Xal'atath > N'zoth > Dimensius > Argus > Zovaal > Lich King > Archimonde > Kil'jaeden > Lei Shen
I think that's true to an extent. They see certain traits about them or some of their past actions as problematic which could be interpreted as them being bigots, racists or whatever words are being used nowadays to box in and label ideological opponents. A lot of the writing in WoW, and how some of these newer characters act and speak, does come off as being written by people with a white savior complex. Calia is the most obvious one, but there's others too
The Arcantina is one giant humiliation ritual area. It's a neutral sanctuary tavern in between dimensions where every character that shows up just talks about how tired they are and how much they don't like fighting anymore. The one vulpera leader that loves fighting, Nisha, is there and she has dialogue talking about how she wants lay down her arms now and looks forward to peaceful day. Every character is being homogenized into the exact same one: tired of fighting, just wants to retire and have a picnic with everyone and not think about anything.
It's like Reive says above, the writers want to turn Warcraft into a cozycore Stardew Valley setting. They hate the setting, characters, lore, etc. established by the old writers and they want to burn it all down out of spite
Weirdest one was the Jade Witch questline. Where it wasn't even being referenced as a slur.
Old: "What manner of creature are you? <The pandaren pauses, her eyes growing wide.> My... look at that gorgeous green skin!"
New: "What manner of creature are you? <The pandaren pauses, her eyes growing wide.> My... I've never seen anyone like you before!"

At least WoW won't ever reach Veilguard level and I doubt it will especially now that it seems that Midnight is back on track as it looks like the best expansion in a very long time since Legion and also have some of the cooler stuff from BFA.
Heavy Metal WoW would be sick!
I'm totally fine with that as the female characters are all mostly great and are among some of my favorites. I'm happy if Yrel, the Three Windrunners, Azshara, Elisande, Talanji, Thalyssraor, Valeera has more screentime and roles.

The only reason I am okay with the "Cozycore" is because it may mean RPers might get a crumb out of the Roadmap. But, yeah. They're are completely spellbound at the prospect of a super cozycore Warcraft and we're kind of seeing that throughout the current Narrative presented.
I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

I’d say it’s less about disagreeing with their world views and more thinking they’re not capable for the job. Which they aren’t as evidenced with the current writing. Anyone losing their job isn’t nice, but should we just let people have positions they’re clearly not suitable for?

people really just be in here repeating asmongold talking points from 5 years ago lmao
