If they are getting class specific armor in a raid, it is most likely a full season. On one hand, that means proper forest troll mogs in the overworld set at very high quality and a lot of troll lore. On the other hand . . . I just want an expansion to pick a theme and stick with it.

A full patch focused on Ethereals made no sense in the underground expansion. It happened.
What we are seeing in the saga is an outline for a single bigger expansion (maybe even a proper four season expansion) being increased into three expansions. And as we saw in TWW this is not done by splitting the story into three parts and keeping a consistent theme but rather by adding entire seasons that are completely out of theme. If we are lucky, more of those seasons will be like Undermine instead of K'aresh.
Disageee.A full patch focused on Ethereals made no sense in the underground expansion. It happened.
While obviously K'aresh for TWW wasn't originally planned, it made sense.
The theme was clear. A warning of what would happen to Azeroth if we fail to stop the Void. Even before the patch was announced several people here already got that theme perfectly.
But a full Troll patch when we are dealing with the Void and the Light? After having Zul'aman? Seems unlikely.
I mean, cool, I like Trolls. But again, unless Ula'tek comes as the Forbidden Reach of Midnight or as the 12.1 patch zone along with the revamp of other zones, I don't see it happening.
Oh and BTW, Warlocks for the win. The icons of that set look sick.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.

Wild that were gonna have more troll content than elf content in the elf expansion
how much of the post 11.0 story dealt with the earthen? If TWW is any indication, outside of the expansion start, we will not use the set up of Quel'thalas in mayor content afterwards. Swaping over to the Isle of Fang is the Undermine of Midnight. And then something else that is the K'aresh of Midnight that ties into TLT. Likely world soul related, so perhaps something adjacent to Harandar, or a zone like Silithus, or heck, even something near Northrend.
I'm a big Blood Elf enjoyer, but i am glad we get a healthy dose of Amani content. They are also inhabitants of Quel'thalas and quite interesting
If there was mini-raid akin ToV - they can. But looking at this sets - we probably will see full season of the amani on that small island. I hope we see something more. Just troll island is dull to me. Troll season is cool though, but I don't see enough content for it. Cultists will try to rezz Ctrixx on this isle?
What's fun is that there was an old lore tease for some void balrog style creature under Undermine, which would have made a perfect delve boss but somehow .... that never got used. Maaaybe because they wanna use Kith'ix as delve boss for season 2, with Ulatek as raid boss, so they went with something else for the goblins instead?
The void didn't even destroy K'aresh. If anything it's a lesson in not using artifacts to blow up your own planet in a poorly conceived, pyrrhic gambit.
As pointed out before 11.2, K'aresh first only serves to subvert the Void. Xal'atath isn't a real threat when her entire goal is being Dimensius 2 and we literally just beat him. The void incursion on Quel'thalas and miniscule "storm" hovering about the Well feel extremely minor when we just left a place with a giant planet-sized black hole. And they literally just had to make a second pseudo K'aresh in the form of Voidstorm to have a Void zone from which the attack was being staged.
It remains a very poor decision that didn't really make any sese.
Yeah, and introducing a whole new batch of tier sets just for turbo boost with an extra raid ....
I mean it would be kinda cool but also ... wild. And it would totally nerf the first tier, so either cutting edge would be limited to turbo boost (which would be bad for many more casual mythic guilds) or they would be so undertuned that you can pug them (which wouldn't be a bad thing imo but some people would cry about it).

Yeah, it's on par with Karesh, I think?
Also, having a "surprise thing" every major patch sucks, I want stuff that's teased and shown so that we finally go there it feels rewarding.
Midnight showing the Isle of Fangs before we get there is thousand times better than SURPRISE UNDERMINE or SURPRISE KARESH. It worked wonders with Isle of Thunder or Zereth Mortis, so they really should continue that going forward. It's the same with bosses - they need to be teased and introduced early so we actually care about them.
I would not expect them from the raid. But yeah, the open world sets that are tied to the season since DF have been very high quality (honestly Aberrus, Emerald Dream, Hallowfall and K'aresh sets are better than half the tier sets from their seasons).

Plenty of water and high mountains though.
My main question is, what is the story there? How does March lead to Isle of Fangs? Kith'ix? I am sorry but he is just a C'thrax. We've killed so many of them. Is Xal'atath buying time with diversions again?

looking through newly added NPCs for the latest alpha patch, some interesting additions
Blood Elf Spellbreaker
Night Elf Archer
Night Elf Sentinel
Nightborne Arcanist
Nightborne Telemancer
Silver Covenant Ranger
Void Elf Riftwalker
and
Shandris Feathermoon <High General of the Kaldorei>
Vereesa Windrunner <Ranger-General of the Silver Covenant>
Seems the elven reunification will include all elves. Including Nightborne and Night Elves, not just thalassian elves
