There's a pretty massive jump being made here — I didn't even say Lordaeron. I said Stratholme in the context of it being a megadungeon to pair with an Atal'Utek raid. Stratholme can be pared off from a greater Lordaeron to be patch content rather easily.

But regardless, even if they use some areas of Lordaeron for patch content, why would that be such a bad thing? How long are we going to keep saying we want a Lordaeron expansion only? It's been theorized since pre-Shadowlands, and here we are six years later with knowledge of the next 3 years worth of expansions. Would they genuinely set one expansion at the very, very top of the Eastern Kingdoms, the northern border of Lordaeron, and avoid going further south for patch content just to return in 4 years, when there's all of Kalimdor due for a return, a mystery backside of Azeroth that is bound to be revealed to us in TLT, and plenty of seeding for other stories outside that zone? I get it, I'd love a full expansion in Lordaeron, but we can only get so many "the Scarlets are slowly building their numbers..." detail text in .7 patch side quests before the build up is tired. Strike while the irons hot, make a good patch zone out of a piece of Lordaeron, and if there's a story to tell down the line, return.

I agree that the Draenei Isles would be a great area for us to go to, but I'm not fully seeing it at the moment. There's pieces of potential, but it's not as clear as other areas.

Fair enough, it wasn’t completely directed at you totally, moreso the general conversation happening regarding Lordaeron as patch content.

But how do you pare off Stratholme from greater Lordaeron for its own patch? If you do Stratholme, you have to do EPL right? EPL is far too small to be its own modern expansion zone, so you have to include WPL too, which is tiny as well. If you’re doing the Plaguelands then I feel Tirisfal will have to be touched on too as they’re pretty much core Lordaeron.

So with those three touched on, what do you have left for a potential Lordaeron expansion down the line? Just Silverpine, Gilneas, Hillsbrad, Alterac and Arathi Highlands. That’s not really big enough zone wise to carry an expansions launch. If you do Tirisfal, you have to do something with the Undercity right? Well you aren’t getting Capital City as its own expansion capital so late into an expansion which kills a lot of interest in seeing that again. You aren’t going to see the likes of Scholomance, Scarlet Monastery, Tyr’s Hand etc return in any prominent form as we historically tend to be limited to one raid per patch, and sometimes a dungeon. To me, it just seems a total waste of a breadth of areas that can be used for content.

I’m not discounting Kakimdor, other side of Azeroth etc. If the other side of Azeroth is Arathi country, then I’d pair it with a Lordaeron expansion as a duology expansion set. I’m just not of the belief that we should be wasting expansion potential areas as patch content.

Shadowlands and dragonflight login screen were pretty cool, tww was ok-good. This is the worst they've done.

Compared to Wrath, Cata, MoP, WoD’s, Legion’s, BfA’s, SL’s and DF’s (pretty much all) login screens, this one is pretty tepid, yeah.

As much as I like them experimenting I would really like a return to the theme we had from vanilla through legion once this saga is over and done. I think this one is pretty though, and nice for the eyes.

Yes, people already made that joke. No, this isn't even the first time - the god awful diamond C'Thun hero on Hearthstone also gave Goatse vibes.

It's frustrating because literally all they need to do is pull back on the viewpoint and make the portal in the middle of the Voidstorm somewhere.
