Btw, is there a way to copy transmog collections onto the beta?

Would be helpful for testing the new transmog system haha.

Transmog is broke on beta rn but once it's working if you do "copy account data" from the character copy menu it should get your collection stuff. It's buggy a lot of the time tho

But why? Raids are the best part of remix, no reason to destroy that.

And delve solo bosses will prolly not come back like mage tower, atlhough tuning them for 5 people or so could be fun for remix!

Mostly because as mentioned by Nymrohd expansions after SL likely just don’t have the number of raid bosses needed for it to be a main focus, and given how cosmetic heavy they are I doudt blizzard would want to
Cut them short instead of giving people different ways to get bronze for the tone of sets they have.

Golden was on staff rather than just a contractor, yes...but mainly during BFA and as a hand in tweaking the dialogue, not the core plot beats. You can tell, because BFA was actually decent at the start in terms of actual conflict and she didn't muck it up like she normally would.

DF onward has been without her and actually more saccharine, and Danuser has said outright in PC Gamer that DF was his creative endeavor. He was most proud of it, even, which is wild, because it's like an Ambien given form. Anduin is Golden's baby but he's been this modern iteration of the character since The Shattering. 14 years ago.

Old Thrall also had a lot of work and interpretation from Golden as a contractor because of Lord of the Clans. She wrote Rise of the Horde.

It's not really that clear cut, because she's written absolute dog shit and also plenty of formative and well regarded stuff within the setting. They've worked with her since the start of the modern WC3. And ultimately, when contracted, as basically every single contract author has said, they have broad bullet points of story decisions they're required to follow. Democratization doesn't go into tie-in books because it has to go through numerous editors or revisions to be market ready.

Roux has written three stories and only one of them was really of any significance in length and game presence. The individual plot details are pretty impossible to reconcile in terms of any quality no matter how they were written. Shadows Rising was fucking terrible, to be sure. I can't imagine a sensible way to depict any of it on the page. Roux didn't create Calia. She didn't personally set up how Sylvanas was due to be written from this point anymore than the writer of A Good War was.

As far as the two leads, I'd genuinely like to know more if there's anything actually tangible. Be it interviews with these people or anything else. We know, for example, that the abysmal Arathi questline and the bizarre use of the Ardenweald dragons for High Elves wasn't the work of either but both were the work of one person.

But I think it's kind of disingenuous to say that the culprit here is democratization if it involves people you don't like, but democratization is an excuse for someone submitting something poor if that someone is one you're more willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

The narrative here is, "If X submits something bad but I think they can be talented, they're screwed because anything else will never get by the femoids, but if Y submits something bad it's reflective of exclusively their incompetence and nobody else's." It has to be both, or neither, not one or the other.

Same with Metzen. SC2 is a complete nerf gun fest compared to SC1. So many of the worst parts of WoW writing of the last 5-7 years are a part of it and many even brushed off directly as near catastrophies for WoW itself - imagine if we got glowing Illidan like Kerrigan and he didn't blow Xe'ra to kingdom come.

But you can't suddenly blame some completely concocted HR villain he's scared of as an explanation to try to work through the cognitive dissonance. You also can't say "don't come back and give us false hope" either if maybe he just wanted to.

This isn't a defense of modern WoW writing, but you're doing the same broken thinking and oversimplification as institutions like the various nerd culture "-Gates" of old that were just recruitment techniques. You're claiming anyone saying otherwise ideologically agrees, but the reality is that your myopia and oversimplification with this is completely ideological in nature.

There's a fucking problem with the writing, but you are giving the "no negativity in the dojo" bland assholes in the writers room ammunition to ignore legitimate criticism when you make it about this.

But, bronze was literally a zero issue this time around? You just have to level a few chars.

I mean yeah, make stuff like Thorgast or Delves as an extra, but don't take away from the raids.

Tbh the raid focus in remix feels bad, especially with how awful the lag can get in 20+ player instances. Moving some of the focus to stuff like delves would be a really welcome change imo I also don't really feel like most people are frothing at the mouth to need 40+ raid bosses every remix and DF onward has world events as well which would be a great fit for the remix experience especially with expanded heroic world tier


I honestly hope that in future remixes the scaling is game wide like torment levels in diablo 3 with a focus on 1-5 player content. Torghast in shadowlands, islands and visions in BFA, delves in TWW etc and focus on class power rather than just slapping some random "summon a dreadlord to do 99% of your damage" bs

Lemix would have been the perfect chance to bring back legiondaries but I guess they didnt wanna spend that much time on stuff.

Replace? The VA did their job, they voiced the npc's. Blizzard can change the voice lines with a new VA, it's in their right since its their game. Why should the old VA even care since they got paid and all?

In what way would it be unethical? Are there any laws about this? There is no way this can be true because then it implies that the people creating a project are forced to use all the lines of the VA they have hired. And we know for a fact that there's tons of projects that see the light of day with cut content including VA lines or entire roles that someone recorded.

who knows. for me, making blood elves neutral would solve the high elf discussion instantly. Of course, to not enrage the horde player, the horde also get an alliance race as neutral. Draenei seem to be set up for that with the ones from voidstorm who are not on good terms with Velen
