Gorrshalach had no flame element to it at all. It was called Dark Rend, and hadn't hat dark powers then. So Taeshalach, Flame Rend, isn't meaning it has flame powers either.
and even looking at other depictions, it shows it more with a holy glow, rather than fire. The fire is only part of the corrupted form of Aggramar, same as Sargeras fire body is only in his corrupted form.

On the gameplay end, the same reason Turn Undead and Exorcism working on Forsaken player characters didn't last long.
On the story contrivance end, the same reason Illidan isn't perpetually slapping people with his wings accidentally or getting stuck in doorways.
The writing is bad and sacrifices much for the sake of drama, but these kinds of concessions aren't really new. We're reaching CinemaSins levels of petty.
"How does Fel Orc Kargath do literally anything requiring fine motor control?" DING.

Considering Elun'ahir has a 50% chance of being a metaphor for Azeroth instead of an actual world tree (and 50% chance of being a world tree that was in Un'goro), there's a decent chance the First Flame story is not actually a legitimate 1:1 accurate thing.
However- we already know there is something super holy under Lordaeron. Remember Light's Hope Chapel? There's a fuckhuge thing of Light underneath it and it has not yet been explained.

This is what it was, yes. It was sanctified by the blood of all the people that died in defense of others and believed in the Light through the war. To make it about some magical lightwell cheapens the story.
A better choice would be to have it be beneath the Scarlet Monastery. A darker choice would be to have it be beneath STRATHOLME
Imagine if there was a source of Light beneath Stratholme and what Arthas did there plus the pain and suffering of an entire city corrupted it. Make Stratholme the proper Silent Hill of Warcraft.

That would be awesome if the Temple of the First Flame was under Stratholme this whole time. But I am not counting on it.
The short story did say she combed the entire continent looking for it. So it could literally be almost anywhere in the EK.

No sign of Collector's Bounty next patch, right? Shame, would go perfect with housing, but I guess that's reason why they would save this event for some dead month.
I would rather have more frequent remixes than Collector's Bounty.
Remix atleast brings new stuff for people who already have everything. (and one would assume that the next pandaria remix has new rewards like the CM recolours alongside M+)
It's also better to finish off a season than .... having to run old raids alone?

Midnight transmog slots are going to be account-wide (so if you buy 10 everyone can have 10 free outfits) and they are monitoring tmog costs. That took two days. What's next?

It was 5%. And come on, it's not like everyone and their mothers has all mounts from event, even throwing multiple alts didn't guaranteed success. For example, Data for Azeroth shows that Invincible is owned by 23% of accounts - and probably a lot more people gave a shot there compared to other mounts.
I think we probably will have this in 12.0.7 or 1.7, DF raids included of course.
I find it so funny how they always insta remove any drama that pops up about the Game side. Story wise they made the right choice of just removing any form of possibility of any interviews with anyone except Maria Hamilton becoming a stand-in for it.
Oh well, I mean they know what they're doing in a sense. Any lore fan is the punchline and even they have identified that.
Its a very interesting decision to essentially always evaporate any drama and let the fanbase control them but again if the fanbase never gets completely outrageous about it, I guess it will work in the short term.

I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

They can't change the story in any huge way because of shorter development cycles but more importantly they paid for voice actor work and cutscene work.
Also "Arator is lame" isn't a pressing game issue the way that, say, Wuk Lamat is because the WoW MSQ is quick and you only do it once.

Yeah, Arator can be a scaled back or tweaked (which he won't) for 12.1 onward or so.
Dawntrail's launch MSQ is like hours and hours of story and she's waaay more overexposed than him regardless of how you feel about the character.
Blizzard has always been gameplay first in priority, even when they aren't batting great in terms of gameplay.
