I was going to write an obnoxiously long-winded tongue-in-cheek comment about them being captured, extradited and held for trial over the Blood Elf dialogue recordings, but I don't want to get scolded and already used up my /s of the day.

It's interesting to see the end of expansion lull hit at the same time as the post holiday season lull. I'm not too worried about it. I was making it a point to go into the New Year and posting less about things that I dislike (in general, not on this forum specifically), but then I saw how the blue post that mentioned Velf DH purple eye and tattoo customizations got edited to remove it, and I'm back to rageposting.

I mean, how long are we going to keep doing this song and dance? The argument of "we'll add it when it naturally fits into the story" that Ion gave was immediately invalidated as this is exactly when it would make a natural fit. Am I referring to the Void Elf demon hunter tattoos and eye colors, or am I referring to expanded customizations for Void Elves and Blood Elves? Who knows?

The Haranir seem cool. It's cool that they get so many customization options. The Blizzard art team has outdone itself as always. Why does this not apply to the characters and races that people have played for two decades? That is legitimately insane, and I'm glad that there are more people talking about it than just us at the very least. I find it incredibly hard to believe that they'd save it for whatever comes after the Worldsoul Saga? It just doesn't make any sense to me. Do we see it happening at any point in the future?

The issue is western business culture (or at least what a good chunk of businesses subscribe to) where fuckups are seen as inadmissible. They would rather rewrite old posts than make a post saying "hey we didn't have enough time for the artists to cook on Velf DH customizations so they are coming later sorry". Probably the only way they will is if enough people make a stink about it, which they won't, because Velf DH is such a snoozer thing.

I forgot to mention, Ion's dumb makebelieve excuses just exacerbate the problem to anyone who isn't a LFR-brain dummy. Eventually he cracks and is honest (see: Ethereals and Sethrak take too many resources).

They can't sell "new free stuff for all races" like they can sell a new race.

TLT features may focus on customization (spell effects etc) so they could add additions there to go with the general vibe, I don't see it happening until an expansion where "express yourself" is basically the selling point. Haranir and Housing are basically the only box features for Midnight.
