Last lockout with Weakauras. I'm seeing the talk about what stuff is still possible, but I am still losing my personal UI customization. My sub goes until right around Midnight launch. I am at least willing to see what my experience in pre-patch is like before deciding whether to buy Midnight or cancel my sub.
I am the one who knocks ... because I need your permission to enter.

Maybe its a technical limitation, but I'm surprised Blizz hasn't worked a 'New Game+/Replay Journey' system into Chromie Time. Would give it a renewed purpose to use while levelling/once people have hit level cap.
By NG+/replay, I mean replaying completed quests/storylines. Either with or without rewards/gold (not sure if letting us have full gold/rewards from quests on a repeatable system like that would be economy breaking or not - but considering how much people play the AH, it might not be that bad).
Just a thought because XIV and GW2 have story replay functions, and the only real way to do it in wow is either via Party Syncing with a friend , or creating a new character.

Part of the reason is that Battlegrounds are like ducks.
I hope they keep the current pre-patch login screen rather than change it with a jpg and show Silvermoon or something. The animation is well made.

What we really need is a warband camp background featuring a version of the classic login screen. A dark portal in the background, a few characters seated in the foreground, and a sprawling fantasy landscape with hopeful music playing.
In the PCGamer housing interview they said there would be a housing roadmap around Midnight's launch so surely we will get the regular roadmap then too

If they do a short animation or any type of cinematic promotion, I would enjoy it more of it focuses on an obscure part summing up Xal'Atath long life goal in a poetic manner. That's the kind of content that will get people hooked to see what's happening in the expansion with her and insuring you don't end up with a Shadowland Sylvanas type book.
Why should they change that? The screen looks cool and you barely see it anyways 'cause normal people have a pc that doesn't take 10 minutes to logg in.
Honestly, the original TWW screen was also better than the shitty edit we got because of "complains" .... Dornogal didn't even matter for the Expansion, especially for the later two patches lol.
Edit: the only thing that I would be behind is literally adding a void dragon just for old times sake. But just adding another painted jpg background that barely even has any meaning for the expansion would be a waste of ressources.

I think the swap to the swirling portal logins would be a lot more understandable if we had warband screens that fit the prior themeing of the login screens.
I suppose Freywold Spring and maybe Cultist's Quay could kind of work? I'd imagine something a bit more akin to Nerubians crawling upwards into the voidy webs above Azj-Kahet, or a scene of Hallowfall with Beldar in the distance. The new road going towards the Sunwell with the Voidstorm pouring in is the obvious pick for Midnight.
That in mind-- are we aware of any new warband camp screens coming our way in Midnight aside from assumption?
It genuinely unfortunately feels like they're just doing the Inflatable tube men routine wibbly wobblying until 14.0 in regards to all of this because somehow someway their pursestrings are just closed shut.
I think they have many opportunities left before the end of The Last Titan but it just doesn't feel like they recognize the moment at all and understanding that having Blizzcon 2023 Reveals be regarded in the aftermath of all of this as just a "short term pump" of their consumers that its' going to be very hard for anyone to take anything they say seriously going forward no matter how fantastical and incredible the reveals are.
I don't know I think everything can still turn around on a dime if they do open their purses and spend it on something that can change the trajectory and "vibes" but I mean they can't rely on Xal'ataths Launch Cinematic of a cryptic monologue to be some sort of interesting to anyone except those who like theorycrafting even if they know it probably is pointless at this point.
Game wise story, sure maybe thats' doomed but they can coat it in great story marketing and that to me makes me really frustrated if they don't take that opportunity because it seems like they want to just play the quiet dismissal of what was said at Blizzcon 2023 and then use Blizzcon 2026 as a rewiring and making people forget about the World Soul Saga.
