Hope not, but wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft decided they don't want to spend money on them.

I don't live in a country where WoW is popular so I never know when they do a marketing push for it, but does anyone know if they've started ads for Midnight yet?

Finally found the survey spec descriptions:

Healer Hunter meh. Would honestly be better if it was like Ana from OW - shots that can work on both enemies and allies, effects changing depending on target hit etc.

I like the support Priest, the holy dps one seems too similar to the support one or at least pales in comparison.

Lich DK yes yes YES. Specs splitting up the core foundations of a class had been a sore spot for me, so something that utilises both necrotic and frost magicks for necromantic shenanigans to differentiate itself from Unholy is a win.

    Shaman tank: ungabunga
    Rogue tank: swashbuckling tank
    Warlock tank: demonic swishy ungabunga
Mage healer: time mage! Hopefully its kit looks temporal AF. I recently saw a.. *ahem* mod for BLM in FFXIV based on Alexander time magic and the concept of throwing magic clock nukes has been living rent free in head for a few weeks. Evoker has the bronze sand thing going on while Mage/arcane based temporal magic seems to have its own ordered, clock aesthetic so hopefully it sticks to that - and preferably has its own damage spells that don't include Arcane Blast.

And the feedback was really positive from what I remember, I hope they continue those but I also hope we get something similar to Shadows Beneath

They will most likely do another Single form of Animated piece just to get the monkey off their backs. I think they're starved artistically at this point and its because again the higher ups don't really see any reason to invest even if the Warcraft Team leadership marketed something they also would be very clear of knowing would not get investment if things went south.

They can probably get weird random "offs" of something artistic but if you want an actual structured plan of Story/Narrative Marketing or an actual good well structured and planned Narrative Product you probably have to unfortunately recognize that this just is impossible with current circumstances to exist due to again the need for growth and because of how volatile the internal atmosphere is.

End of Dragonflight was a bright spot, we gained significant Patch Trailers, Really good Epilogue IGCs which seemed to imply things were finally going to actually go on the up and up and then all of it crashed and burned while completely vanishing on top of poor directional decisions that left the impactful sequences in The War Within to be rather sloppily received when they should have had more impact.

The Xal/Ansurek/Neferess motion art short was great, the Alleria fully animated short was fantastic. The two Dalaran intro scenes were both good. Even if you don't particularly like the story direction of the Beledar or Locus-Walker ones, they were both very well animated polished cutscenes. TWW as a whole was solid for pre-rendered in-game, and also had an absolute ton of the lower level scripted ones.

The more interesting part is it asks you more specifically about your interest in some new class specs with a brief concept of what they would play like.

    Support Paladin might be neat.

What's the difference between Support Paladin and Holy Paladin?

Holy is a healing spec, their job is to keep the party alive.

A support spec would focus on buffs and blessings, like augmentation does it.

I want all the sod specs to be properly recreated in retail, even tank warlocks with their demon form.

Then they should add either tank or healer specs to all the remaining pure dps classes (meaning hunter).

Paladin could get a ranged spec that throws light spears like the new diablo 4 paladin.

Honestly, I really like the Healer Hunter with Alchemy/First Aid structure. Its' quite cool and unique and has always been on my mind as a Hunter since Vanilla when first encountering First Aid.

Obviously, I know some people find it sacrilegous but that's the one stands out for me. Either way, I am always happy to see experimentation in this regard.

    A midrange spec could work.

Throwing spear, keeping distance, lunging into the enemy every now and then.

I prefer RDD paladin with crossbow. Crusader style, chains, holy bolts - all of that.

For Light spears we can have priest holy DD spec. Proper Light-magic damage dealer.

While I don't oppose rogue dodge spec - it would be nightmare for balance. Its all the way to BC druid tanking, where could be 10 sequential dodges and we are golden, but another try with 3 sequential hits and he is dead. I hope blizzard can balance that (heh).

My thought more about off-tanking dude. Not that tanky, but more damage dealing. So you want either 1 main tank with high defence and 1 off tank with like 70% or so for defence but +50% of damage. Same for Warlock tank spec. We could make monk that bruizer spec too. But shaman tank as full tank.

Same thing for healers. Disc is already there, much for damage dealing. Make them semi-healers or combine with supports (if we go that way with support role) Mage as off-heal, Aug support - all of that.

Hunter is weird spot. Tanking with pet as main tank just strange and creates problems with coordination and healing. If they want put some non-DPS role for hunter - let it be support. Animal with different auras, both buffs and debuffs. Healing darts, buffing darts.

cowboy paladins with guns please, you can even keep the stupid hammer theme theyre in love when you "fan the hammer" we really dont need a spec about throwing light spears when both prot and ret are becoming more and more about hitting things with light hammers over and over

I think reintroducing Auras for Pets in a Hunter Healing spec sounds very cool to add synergy to their current thinking regarding a Healing Hunter Spec. But yeah, I am honestly happy to see them thinking about all of this cause I think with SoD it was very fun to see the different styles.

so i was just going back over everything from announcements and checked out the beta for the first time in a month
i feel like the lack of hype is because ppl forgot alot of waht the game is bringing in terms of content and got stuck on system changes because holy crap
devourer is legion shadow which i absolutely missed just give it a surrender to madness talent
the new models are awesome freaking void kraken from clash of the titans
we LOSE in a big fight
still annoyed they dont address the caelia taelia connection but theres hints that will happen
    "power of friendship" is gone
i actually felt danger in some spots which is weird but welcome
addons situation is what i assumed just target the super edity ones that people sell packs for on discord and patreon
the new spec survey means possibly new ones coming this expansion

I hope that stays fanon. Making that into canon feels like taking the story several steps backward.
