Maybe some Gorian Ogres managed to create their own portal to escape the dying WoD Draenor, and ended up somewhere relevant to TLT (or Midnight's patches)?
Invasive, or native to Azeroth? The Mag'har recruitment questline remains the most interesting plothole left. The Lightbound, Y'rel, Exarch Hellscream and the Draenor natives who came through the portal and ran off into the wilderness.
EDIT: Oh, wait. I'm thinking Goren. Doh. Gorian is even more exciting, more ogres please. They just got a semi updated model.

Low-key, I kinda hope 12.2 is a Plaguelands update lol
Gorian and Qiraji could be Nashabor related maybe? Assuming Draenei aren't the only refugees. Some Ogres form the Gorian Empire survived. And Qiraji could be a throwback to Skyriss. This would be cool if they wanted to make a strong homage to TBC in Midnight
I have no idea how Vrykul would fit in but maybe there's some space vikings out there.
I'm just not sure where they'd come in, but I'd be thrilled to see some sort of ogre empire/civilization pop up on Azeroth. The Gorians were a really cool part of WoD, and ogres in general a really great part of the world.
Shit I'm still not counting out Plaguelands update coming in 12.1 with Atal'utek.

By the way- there are four mana wyrms that match up perfectly with the gladiator drakes (blue, green, orange, purple) and mana wyrms are the prey seasonal mount in S1. I think this doubly hints that there are plans for four seasons. Interestingly there aren't four mana golems (s1 delve mount) that match, but maybe delve mounts will change between seasons.

Vrykul seem like an overt tease to TLT, as they are the coolest thing there now that the Lich King and his army are dead and will probably be a big focus in TLT Northrend as opposed to just one of Arthas's army forces. Qiraji also match up with The Sword/Silithus which was basically confirmed to be in TLT.

Plaguelands/Lordaeron seems very likely not only with the Vanguard needing a patch to regroup, and the datamined string in the first build, but also the orange/fire potential seasonal mounts coupled with the flame temple concept.

just sayin- new tinker class with turret and explosive dps/ mecha and mid range tank/ bot pet heal
- dragonblight max level end zone with the titans using remaining undead and dragon undead to try and stop us.
- howling fjord + grizzly hills is about vrykull and will be their main hub and starting point as playable race for alliance
- borean tundra will be bigger and have a gorian style base built by ogres to deal with hordes of undead dragons.
- max level 100
- almost 50% of hero talents completely remade leaving just the monst iconic ones.
- other classic maps added later, just the botton half of northrend available at launch.

I've had that tinfoil thought before! They had access to powerful titan artifacts and very powerful magic in general, so it's possible they up and moved the entire ogre continent from Draenor. I'd expect some time travel, likely forcing them back out several decades in the past (since the initial link was made to the past), giving them time to integrate with their surroundings. I feel like it would be on the other side of the planet, though.
I just want them to do SOMETHING with ogres on Azeroth, and I love the Gorian Empire.

I definitely wouldn't believe a leak claiming that it'd only be the bottom half of Northrend at launch, given that the very first thing we've heard about TLT was that we'd be returning to Ulduar to see the Titans return. It might be a partial revamp, but Ulduar and the Storm Peaks are the safest expectations.
Teleporting an entire continent? God, what an incredible idea. That'd be really, really fun, especially if it clashes with the Arathi down the line. Dueling empires.
In all fairness, it would make sense if it were a Broken Shore type of intro. Sure, we see them return, but we're not happy and neither are they. Ulduar and Storm Peaks do get revamped, we just can't enter until later in the expansion.

Maybe - since return to Ulduar is confirmed - it could be like the southern part of Northrend would be updated but only in instanced form / as a scenario - then the actual launch zone is the updated Ulduar / Storm Peaks, and we later get updated southern Northrend as actual outdoor zones? That would be neat.
I am the one who knocks ... because I need your permission to enter.
