That was a cool

Alonsus throwing hands is crazy. Another nod to this truly being designed as a "Horde expansion" if he is the secondary character to Liadrin here versus someone like Velen.
That design note is one of the only reasons I can think why Velen barely plays a part in the launch story: they purposefully are sidelining the Alliance for a moment to give the Horde room to breathe.
Funny one here. Alonsus here for Liadrin reflecting about her dead father, who zombied in Scourge invasion. I thought it was clear as day.
Also funny how one single animation is about 2 Horde character and instantly someone got offended by absence of Alliance ones. *looking at Midnight main campaign*
And looking at Midnight I see like 70% of characters or race development are from or about Alliance or Alliance-aligned, 30% of remaining ones siting with side-quests for dracondor poop.
Its called Alliance-heavy expansion you know? Not as heavy as TWW ofc, but going from 99% to like 70% of Alliance presence is quite a win today.

Its kinda funny that the "alliance vs horde" character/story makes blizzard thinks the story is good.
as in the fact that the story featuring an alliance or horde cast would have an impact on that.
Horde players should be happy they are not getting a story from blizzard. And alliance players should dread it. There is a reason the night elf players are silent atm (they gave up because the story was terrible)
so, with this cinematic we have the mayor players in place for the expansions:
Short Stories: Umbric/Rommath and Zul'jarra
Animations: Xal'atath and Liadrin
Cinematic: Lor'themar and Liadrin
Housing Cinematic: Blood Elf in Horde Neighborhood
No Alleria, Turalyon or Arator or any alliance showcase outside of Umbric
still missing at least 1 more cgi cinematic a la shadows beneath tho

There's discussion, and then there's not realizing you're debating something VIA devil's advocate.

Kinda shocked we haven't gotten something from Arator yet. Was expecting the animated short to be about him, but I'm fine with what we got.

I really hope the TLT animated short is about Sargeras
This was solid. I will say, it looked far more like Castlevania than Warcraft. And I do wish the Blood Knight narrative was still part of the Blood Elves
Its really funny how Alliance fans get offended by literally everything that is not Alliance-heavy. You got your major part of this "Horde expansion" main story about Turalion (Alliance character), Alleria (Alliance character), Arator (Alliance character) and Umbric (Alliance character) and bunch of Alliance paladins.
12.1 maybe about trolls, but 12.2 will be Alliance-heavy and everyone know it. Blizzard can't live without Alliance saving the world again.

It looked more like Vox Machina or Mighty Nein series to me. And its a praise.
The critical role shows are Amazon Prime productions.
Titmouse is the studio, who have done work for... basically everything really.
Including a bunch of Netflix shows, but also a bunch of Blizzard animations.

Oh it was just her mentor that died and she had to kill him. I legit thought it was her biological father or something.
meh that kinda ruins it for me. I already disliked that the whole fight vs the scarlets didnt have any blood and it just felt like they were hitting each other with toys but eh it felt unnecessary to complain about.
