I've been attempting to find more information on the gnarldin in Zul'Aman but it looks like (at least so far?) they are just a generic antagonist group? Has there been anything discovered that links them to the djaradin of the Dragon Isles? Being that they share the same model.

Earth elementals in one place gets turned into giants.

Earth elementals in another place gets turned into giants.

    Woah.

Update: We're never getting away from this topic because Gnarldin are classified as giants & the lore has both classified Fire Giants as both elemental creations & Titan-forged creations.

I don't think suffusing means what you think it means. This is about The Jailer, The Eternal Ones & Even Argus being shown to be Automa "suffused" with worldsouls in the Zereth Mortis campaign & everyone in this thread pretending it didn't happen.

6 degrees of separation and all that. Which begs the question: are they also robotic?

If I remember correctly, there's a side quest in the Gnarldin zone near the temple of Halazzi that mentions the Gnarldin "arriving". There's no time frame on how recent that is, nor does it seem to come up elsewhere.

I mean, there is probably a link to them, yeah lol. Do people think otherwise?

  8. #130728
A robot made of rocks is still a robot same with trees

  9. #130729
They're both likely elemental half-giants that went through different evolution processes.

You'd think so, but then again we had the Dragon Isles centaur, who evolved as such completely unrelated to the original centaur we've known.

That's not a robot. That's a construct. Not all constructs are robots.

I mean, they might have different origins, but they're still the same race at the end of the day. The same likely applies to the Gnarldin and Djaradin.

The point wasn't what makes a robot. The point was they we see them shove a titan worldsoul into an automa body & it turns back into a Titan. That happened. It happens right before they turn Pelegos into the new arbiter.

We can even parse that Mortal Soul + Helm of Domination + Automa Body = Eternal One = Titan

And we can use this to predict what Xal'atath is actually doing. (She's the titular "Last Titan")

If you don't like the sarcastic replies you're getting, quit making them yourself? Thanks!

Given the shared model, the similar names, and the fact that gnarldin, like the djaradin, also lived/live in caves, it seems to pretty strongly imply the two races share a common origin. The quest "The Path of the Amani" relates that the gnarldin once inhabited "the caves to the north" before the Twilight's Blade displaced them.

Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

I was thinking about this, as the choice for a half-giant model with the similar naming convention (djaradin/gnarldin) seemed too on the nose to be a coincidence.

And, I liked the concept of the djaradin so here's to hoping.

Robots are namely technological machines. The Keepers aren't robots by definition. Also, the memory stuff was done VIA magic.

Hmm, since everyone here has been talking about the Titans all day, I’d like to bring up an interesting topic related to them.

Since Mists of Pandaria we’ve known that Azeroth is the Last Titan.

But about a two month ago I found these lines from Aman’Thul (https://youtu.be/j4K0goEXEcs?si=uTEz6cPCEHp3FQtt) that never actually appeared in the game. They were most likely written under the assumption that we would receive loot chest in the Seat of the Pantheon, rather than on the Vindicaar.

At 0:30 he refers to Azeroth as the Final Titan.

And in another line(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ovHZiCipWM) tied to the Argus fight — at 1:07, if we lose — he calls Azeroth the Final Titan again.

So why Final Titan specifically? The Final for some particular purpose?

Okay, I will say this, when we finalize giving Tyr his memories back, the magics displayed in the beam look Progenitor-like, with white patterns, etc. I imagine this could help people's "First Ones are the Titans" theories, but I feel this only furthers my idea that all forms of structure originate from Order, especially regarding the Progenitors magics, which are essential for any and all forms of creation.
