Teriz is taking a well-deserved vacation in certain other threads because he rekt everyone with the correct Augmentation guesses.

Teriz is fine. He’s just passionate about his theories but at least he’s open to discussion. He’s nowhere near as bad as a lot of people make out.
Back on topic, I’m getting increasingly excited for the prospect of a true South Seas expansion. I’d be lying if i said I wouldn’t prefer to see both Tel’Abim and Undermine fleshed out and expanded to be the main setting of their own expansions but I’d also be buzzing to see them as zones in the South Seas.

A point against an island expansion: the cup icon for the Kul Tiras/Zandalar dragon races is called Great Sea Islands. Unless they are retconning the name to just mean that area, wouldn't South Seas islands ALSO be called Great Sea Islands, because the Great Sea encompasses all the water on Azeroth?
Pair that with our Seafarer's Pack, Forbidden Reach clues (Azshara/Naga, Nightsquall), and Avaloren hints, setting sail must be inevitable.
I don't necessarily agree with the idea that this means pirates will take the forefront, but I do agree with the "New World" voyage and exploration idea. I hope that we continue with the Dragonscale Expedition format, maybe a more permanent neutrality group. A new continent/side of the world could be a cool opportunity for the factions to build in an area without old wounds. Of course, one would assume at the expense of whatever inhabitants are already there, Odyn's heretics.
I believe in the Great Sea is east of the Maelstrom, west of Azeroth, and the South Sea being between Kalimdor and Pandaria

So, I have a "slightly on topic/off topic" question I would like to speculate with everyone on: What will the campaign of 10.2 entail? Like, what will be the focus? What do y'all think we will be doing and what will it all lead up to?

Yeah nevermind, I think Wowpedia got it wrong. It says it includes East Kalimdor but I don't think that's right looking at the map.

I can't see Avaloren and Khaz Algar being down there, so I'm still gunning for South Seas + other islands (Nightsquall book specifically mentions the storms west of Kalimdor).

Final protection of the Dream questline (stomping out any remaining Nightmare/Void, Druids of the Flame, and Primalists) and eventually setting up Amridrassil to bloom in Azeroth. Maybe have Elune and Freya show up to confirm some things about the Dream/Lifelands.

That just makes it worse.
I just find it wild how much lore they added to her with the chronicles and artifacts, yet her first appearance in-game outside of Ulduar is 14 years later in an arbitrary world event where she doesn't actually appear, as it's a weird anomalous AU version of her.

Honestly, I think people are a tad too harsh on him. He's obsessive and repetitive, but much of what he says is technically right. He was entirely right about the Augmentation thing and all the evidence pointed to him being right from the get-go, and I think he has a point about Tinkers being an effectively perpetually probable contender for a new class if not for the lack of viable expansion themes for them. His repetitive tendency annoys people to an extent they fail to lend him due credit even under circumstances where it's likely he's right; add to that, for all his reputation, it's as much the fault of those who argue ad nauseam with him about the topic that Tinker arguments go on for so long.
I'm thinking pirates will be involved, but may not be a central enemy except as an early, 11.0-era threat. I figure that there will be an overarching colonial theme, with a Scarlet order-state or colony winding up in competition with one likely sponsored by Kul Tiras (given that the color scheme of the colonial guard armor and diplomat set looks pretty cohesive with the Kul Tiran color scheme).

I think it definitely will have flying foliage like the original because of dragonriding, and plenty of the swirls on the ground as well (Ardenweald has them too)
It will be interesting if they go full on Lifelands wackiness in the Dream or if they reign it in and keep to titanic/dragon stuff. So far it doesn't look like the next mount is a Fae Dragon, but...
I'm expecting a new fox (bigger) or rabbit race to appear.

I would absolutely love for this to be the case. It wouldn't be the first time the Scarlets have made a grand expedition. Given the possibility for something void (or in turn, light) related on the opposite side of the planet, it's very possible for the Scarlets to shift towards anti-void zealotry. It would also track with Blizzard reintroducing older races/groups for modern stories (Tuskarr, Gnolls, Centaur, etc.).
