I would love to see something unconventional happening. Like one incarnate switching sides and regretting the war like alextrasza hoped would happen. Or something crazy like in the drakthyr starting area with one vault being full of dead dragons because of lack of air.
Or we won't meet the other two incarnates at all because iridikron ate them.

But realistically we'll get a council fight with all three next raid.

Anything other than Wrathion is crackpot, IMO. But crackpot has come true time and time again.

Alternatively, the dragons make some sort of grand gesture to save him from his hunger, he does a face-turn, and Tyr elevates him to be the new Aspect. Maybe Sabellian even sacrifices himself to make this possible and your proposed mature Wrathion realizes how he isn't ready for the position. All the while, that insidious Titan undercurrent is still running strong. You're attributing a lot of characterization to him when we know nothing about him, personally.

Yeah, no. And which crackpot theories came true "time and time again"?
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

    Hi everyone!

In the spirit of our previous and beloved expansion speculation threads (Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, Legion, BfA, Shadowlands, Dragonflight) and as the Dragonflight era is finally upon us, it is time for us to build a new home for our ideas, turn a new leaf... AND KEEP DIGGING! After all, what are endings if not new beginnings? Especially when you've got Bronze Dragons involved...

So get to it! Will patch 10.1 take place underground? Will we see the return of Galakrond or the fall of Nozdormu? And most importantly... will 11.0 be a world revamp?

I'm counting on your participation as always to make this thread a safe and magical space to exchange ideas, theories... and maybe a few memes left and right when the time is right.

Have fun, be creative, and most of all be respectful!

We'll miss you little one. ♥
For me it all depens where we are going.

    somethings:

For instance. Several times during the quest line the big bad says: we where betrayed etc. And while she looks strong i do not think she is the end boss of the expansion. Not even a half way point boss.

As for our timelord dragon buddy....it would not suprise me like @alucad said...that we think he might go bad. But it will all be less bad as we think. Simply because we have see it happen again and again before.

I also think the flights will play a way bigger part then we think. in futures to come.

And for the dark brotherhood of dark and broody dragons ( aka wrathion and the other one).....pfff do not know where they are going with that. Maybe a raid or dungeon battle against the loser of the fight for the throne. Still think a certian highmountain black dragon would be better fit as a leader.

Also for a titan meets dragons expansion...there is not so much titan stuff.

So what do i think will happen:

    - elemental stuff will end fast either this raid or pre next raid.
    - there will be a new big bad.
    - nozsnoremu will either turn bad, or not so evil. Chromie will replace him. it will not be a expansion story. Maybe a raid with infinite dragonflight. I suspect like everyone we will see a bigger dragon.
    - the fight for the black throne will be handle after all this ( or during all this).
    - after that it will be a more titan focussed patch/or new big bad one.

Oh yeah, for the Black Throne, I 1000% see the ending being basically Wrathion and Sabellian are too busy sniping at each other to stop an incarnate from attacking the Obsidian Citadel.

    Cue Obsidian Citadel raid.

And afterwards the two (or three) of them finally decide to stop acting like children and settle the issue of leadership and purpose once and for all.

I don't think Faction War is ever happening again. Not with cross faction gameplay.

The implication I got from that was more that the Primalists were using the stones to make animals aggressive and filled with elemental powers. Don't really see how it amplified his feeling of free will, or why that would necessarily make the animals go on a rampage.
I guess being reckless could be considered an act of free will, but that seems like a reach to me.

Surprisingly few who want to talk about the idea that in the Chromie questline during levelling, we go back to the Black Empire and hear the whispers of all the old gods talking about how they know who we are.
Might just be a reference to their prescience, but hopefully it leads somewhere, I just love having scheming Old Gods. Or at least so long as they don't end up like N'zoth in 8.3.

Is it time to start some Il'gynoth speculation? I think it is!

Five lanterns now darkened. The flames they seek will light the Masters' way. + Five keys to open our way. Five torches to light our path.
This has always been speculated to be about the dragonflights. But this time we have the oathstones that return the full power of the dragons. Which paves the way for Murozond and maybe some timey stuff to bring back old gods or the void.

The lord of ravens will turn the key.
Speaking of oathstones. We have khadgar back in this expansion, but i'm pretty sure now that its about odyn. There is a mother oathstone, a titan relict most likely, that has to be activated to turn the dragons to aspects. Who is better suited to activate such a powerful machine than the prime designate? He would need a lot of convincing to do this and sure doesn't mind what we mortals or the dragons want, but his best pal tyr is making a comeback and could have some good arguments.

From the earth, he draws strength. Our earth. Our strength.
Iridikron the primal incarnate of earth. He is described in a similar way to galakrond which we know now was corrupted by the old gods. From the story of deathwing we know how dangerous it is to be connected to the earth and spending a lot of time underground.

The vassal of life disguises treachery. Beware the eyes of green.
Just including this because Ysera has now blue eyes. Just like mer
ithra. Alextrasza who could also fit has orange/yellow eyes. I'm waiting to see what colour tyrs eyes have once he's back fully.

Its surface blazes bright, masking shadows below.
Could be about the watersource under tyrs hold. The halls of infusion are literally a filtration system that was build on top of some old god soup.

The old gods have always been somewhat prophetic or almost all knowing so its not really a suprise they would really know who we are. Even though i always thought this may be because of the nature of the void they may be more closely connected to the infinites that we previously assumed. There is also some good stuff about xal'atath, but for now the post is long enough.

Also just replayed the chromie quest and noticed poor al'akir is a level 39 elite while the other elemental lords are bosses

I think it's overdue to put those whispers to rest. Whatever they thought of in Legion they did make so many turns since then that I don't think the whispers correlate with anything that happens now. They may have been relevant in BfA, but I am not even sure the devs had SL in mind the way they did the expac in Legion. Sure, they plan 2 to 3 expacs in advance but that doesn't mean that there are no major changes in that ~6y time span. Pretty sure that DF was planned differently.

No more faction wars please. They already wasted expansion on, instead od doing Naga/Void after Legion.

Rather I'd say the issue was that those were not two separate expansions. The faction war plot was not a bad idea, it was executed badly and very much abandoned half way through the expac.

Sure thing. I just think that Blizzard does not want that conflict anymore in game. They make cross-faction instances, think about guilds and stuff. And if they want that I don't think they want to be bothered with writing conflict.
Look at BfA. All it did was destroying the tree, which send NE fans into negerending screeching mode, and after that... nothing much really. We're back at being happy together again. In the same expansion.

Oh, they killed off Rastakhan, character some ppl waited to see since vanilla. Great job, another waste.

the faction conflicts a major story point instead ofsomething that just happens in the background as part of selected zones and BGs just is a dumb idea and tbh it just isn't needed.
