I wished someone would use that detect fake image software just like with the other alleged CGI cinematic image of a necropolis floating above Borean Tundra.

Difference is, someone made that image with clear intention: "9.2 will be Northrend guys". This is so vague that it makes leak more believable to me. Or, as I said earlier, guy who posted this is a lot smarter than typical "leaker".

I'm doubtful that would work for detecting AI-generated art. The deformations they produce are distinct from those in an altered image.

Also, who's to say Blizzard isn't resorting to AI-generated art now? Budgets must be cut!

They can wear different armour though surely. The nose is the only feature of line whereas every other Drogbar feature lines up.

The character in the cinematic looks nothing like WoW orcs we’ve seen in CGI at all.

It doesn't have to be. WoD CGI orcs are different to the previous depiction of Orcs.

I am going to make the prediction that it is a Druid legendary that gives a full new set of druid appearances, similarly to how the Druid artifact weapons gave new appearances for Feral and Guardian.

The devs always looked so uncomfortable in those interviews. Really hope it's a proper reveal without needing gimmicks in it.

You are almost definitely wrong.

Maybe. This is entirely my speculation based on the evidence presented.

There’s nothing there to indicate that the Light would turn something even more monstrous. If you want a read of what light “corruption” would do then look at Lothraxion.

There is indication that Yrel and the Lightbound are being led by a malevolent force of Naaru. Malevolent light should be able to corrupt and twist living things like all cosmic forces do. We simply haven't seen it before because we've never encountered a malevolent force coming from the light before. It is completely in Blizzard's purview to make the lightbound look monstrous and alien if they are to be an antagonistic force.

Yeah, no. It looks like an orc. The only thing out of place is the horns and the ear placement, which could be explained by corruption of some type.

I am highly doubtful that would work in practice because AI art is often inconsistent and difficult to work with. Besides, the piece here is presumably meant to be taken as a still from a 3d cinematic.
