Just saw the leaked patch video. The Tinker reveal is insane!

Well the "tinker" part is where you lost me. But the first part was great !

Also, this may be the last raid of Dragonflight. Not because they are cutting out early or anything, but we're kind of out of enemies to fight for this expansion after Fyrakk is done. Iridikron is gone, Vyranoth seems to be working with us, Murozond seems to be little more than a memory. There's not really a ton of loose ends left for the dragonflights at this point unless something crazy happens. If we do get a raid, it may be similar to the dungeon at the end of Legion in that it's more of an intro to what is to come.

Tyr reappearing and finally paying off the foreshadowing that he isn't all that he is cracked up to be is still in the books. Even more so now that Vyranoth is seemingly on the side of the Aspects.

Yeah the only other antagonist is the Decatriarch, otherwise 10.3 would need a Keeper/Titan/Watcher antagonist.

That could be interesting, especially given what that would mean for Paladins as well as for the flights themselves. Would they join with Tyr or go in another direction?

My only concern there is I'm not entirely sure how that comes up on it's own as fallout from what we seemingly are getting in 10.2. That feels to me like a good thread to put in to an 11.0 Titan/Light/Void style expansion.

Weapons always feel meaningful and iconic. The cloaks were fun to look at but at the end of the day they were just procs weren't they?
And the rings.. I can't even remember what the WoD rings did.

Unless the legendary is some weapon that every class can use somehow, it's gonna be a boring cape or hat. I'm guessing it will have fun Druidic effects to make up for it.

I don't think it's a stream. Based on the announcement video on twitter, it sounds like it's just going to be a video they will upload. If it WAS a stream, it should have been visible by now on their YouTube channel - which there is no indication of any stream.

The ring gave an increasingly large stat buff as you kept upgrading it. Eventually it become a proc that activated for everyone at the same time, gave flat DPS increases, and exploded at the end similar to Augvokers Breath of Eons.

Yeah, I'm expecting something like this. They also teased Alexstrasza turning on Tyr somehow, and she doesn't really feel like her character arc is anywhere near finished, so I'm expecting the final act to focus on her taking Vyranoth's side against Tyr.

Can't say for sure what actually starts that conflict yet, but I can easily see him trying to force unwanted changes to "help" dragonkind. Or objecting to stuff they're doing now, like Nozdormu's new willingness to work with the Infinites and tweak the timeline.

After all, Shadowlands were re-imagined from the "ghostly realm" to all these zones we have got, to make them interesting and truly beautiful. I see no reason for which they could not do the same with Emerald Dream. It also has a lot more magical and fantasy feel to it, than the brand-new concept of "Cosmic Domain of Life".

There is a reason: because the Shadowlands were a very loosely defined unknown place with very little firmly established. The Emerald Dream has been a continuously well establish locale that is seen all over the place in lore, in books, in quests, etc. continually depicted in a very specific and defined way. We have been inside it multiple times, we have been to the very center of it, we have fought and defeated its primary threat.

It's not some unknown, unexplored realm--it's a thoroughly understood place we (and other characters) have been all over, whose only real big mystery is "how did it start and what was its original purpose". There's nothing to re-imagine. It's like deciding that the Firelands or Skywall can be re-imagined even though we've been in them and to their most important places already.

It's one thing for Argus, which is an entire planet that could have had who knows what on it, or Ny'alotha which until its patch could have been literally anything anywhere. It's another thing for a place we've been to numerous times that's well documented across two decades in all sorts of different media.

It sure was. You had the tanks pull half the raid, activate the proc, then run to the boss to kill it in one hit.

Or it could have been because Arcane mages were busted in HFC. The set bonuses in that raid were easily the strongest we have ever had in the game, and I faintly remember Arcane mages were especially good with infinitely stacking haste buffs.
