thats my point.
DF "big bad bosses" are pretty much done. Unless we dig up Murazond or Tyr in 10.2.5/7....
But overall- next raid IS last raid tier of the expansion.
And I'm somehow glad for it.
Storytelling in DF was on SL level if you ask me. Waaaaaaaay too disneyfied.
They could add Evokers to all races by having the aspects get their powers back and empower the other races as a reward for helping them. Breath attacks become things shot out of hands, can conjure fiery wings for deep breath ect. I don't think they will do it but it can be done.
Also, about Smolderan being a raid boss, I haven't seen anyone mention this yet. As long as we don't kill him in the firelands proper he will just come back, so it's not wasting him as much as I've seen people say.
There are so many unused things being datamined on this expansion that the clue for the next expansion is probably hidden in plain sight.
It'll be fun when Blizzcon comes out, and the announcement shows something that could've been predicted based on 10.0 unused stuff.

Tyr's Guard was an ancient order of Iron Vrykul initially. Its referring to their ancient memories. They could do that, but I think the philosophy going forward is that Hero Classes are defined by having unique racial identity. Demon Hunters & Death Knights don't have unique races but they do have unique racial customization options. This opens the way for Crypt Lord, Dark Ranger, Lich, Naga Tidelord hero classes, etc.
How incredibly anticlimactic would it be to finally resurrect Tyr only for there to be no crisis; The entire reason we were resurrecting him had already been resolved. I doubt that's how they planned out the expansion. And I don't have a very high opinion of Blizzards writing but I'm not so cynical that I think they'd make the main story thread of Dragonflight simply be setup for 11.0 with no climax. Even WoD had a proper Climax with Archimonde arriving. Fyrakk is no Archemonde/Sargeras/N'zoth.Yes, but because the Emerald Dream & Elemental Planes are both pocket dimensions created by the titans, killing him in the Dream might have the same effect as killing him the Firelands. Effectively, those places are the real azeroth, & our material plane is a simulation.

Fyrakk's the number-two baddie, just like Ragnaros also threatened the World Tree and was a serious threat but wasn't the last and biggest boss in Cataclysm. Iridikron's your Deathwing this expansion, making deals and creating distractions while he continues his schemes. It was Iridikron who set the Sundered Flame (10.1) and Fyrakk (10.2) on their paths. He ties the previous two patches together, and he is a common enemy for Alex and Tyr. And just like Iridikron is distracting the heroes in-game, Blizzard is distracting us with Fyrakk. It's an intentional beat and it'll be a huge story twist for casual players.
One thing I'll say, tho, is I'm perplexed by Vyranoth turning so quickly in the story. An ice dragon leading a frost-filled invasion of the Dream would've been a lot more fun than Firelands 2.0, imo.
I'm pretty confused why the dropping of a mount is the reason people think this will be the last patch.
They've changed achievement rewards for every patch this xpac trying to iron out their new combined m+ rating / raid clear achi reward system.
There is no chance that we go a year between 10.2 and 11.0 on the same major content. For the vast majority of players .5 and .7 patches are not major content. They do not incentivise the return or continuation of players. They are more so patches that would have been part of a .1/.2 patch in previous expansions just delayed which is partly why 10.1 felt barren, boring and feature deplete on launch.
If there is no 10.3, this will go from being one of the best expansions on launch to one of the worst by the end. 10.0 was top 3 expansion launches, 10.1 and so far 10.2 are Korthia level content. I'd go as far as saying Zereth Mortis was better than both and we all know how people felt about SL.
Cope more.. Zereth Mortis was far larger and more involved than either 10.1 or 10.2 (so far). There is no trolling here. Stop with the binary nonsense you can enjoy the game and still criticise wasted potential, it's not one or the other.
It literally wouldn't though. Broken shores and Argus are both sizable pieces of content with far longer quest chains than either 10.1 or 10.2. You can combine the quest chains in 10.1.5 and 10.1.7 and add them to 10.1 and it's still smaller than broken shore, let alone no mage tower. What is wrong with your memory bud?

Disagreeing with you isn't 'baity statements' lol.
You're just wrong. As mentioned in my edit, broken shores and argus are FAR larger than 10.1 and 10.2, specially when you include the mage tower, the dungeon in 7.2, dungeon in 7.3, additional artifcact/hall quests, 7.2.5/7.3.5 and so on. You just have poor recollection, nothing more.
There is literally no scenario where there is more content in 10.0-10.2 than in 7.0-7.3.5 and to pretend otherwise is obtuse and wilfully ignorant.
As mentioned, I do not believe 10.2 is the final patch anyway.. so not sure why you consider my suggestion that if it was to be the final patch, it would be a huge mistake, to be trolling..
I've also been using this website since wrath watch mate. If anything, YOU are new lol

Even if it were true that DF at this point with 10.2 had more content, WoW is a game known for its 3 major patch structure. Blizzard knows that too, and they're not going to follow up SL by telling us "well, actually, look at all the .5/.7 patches we did this time" No, they've got to show people that DF is delivering, or at least appearing to deliver, at minimum, the same amount of major patches as expansions before SL. They've done a great job so far, but they've got to see it through 'til the end with 10.3.

It'd have the least amount of raid content EVER. Even WoD would have more raid content if this is the last raid. The other person you quoted isn't alone in his feelings. If this is the last major content patch and all they did was 3 raids and 1 megadungeon, I'd be extremely disappointed. A few tiny world events do not make up for losing multiple dungeons, an entire raid, mini-raids. No 10.3 with a new raid, yes, this expansion instantly goes to WoD levels for me. I'm already sad we have 6 legacy dungeons including two of my all time least favorites in Atal'dazar and Throne of the Tides. I love m+ but I'm debating just raiding this season for AotC and taking a break.
It seems like they are also slowly changing old armour to give it a HD look via AI (because no human would want to go over the tens of thousands of old gear just to give it an high rezz upscale):

Great news if so, and I really hope they also do this with classic/tbc era mounts next expansion - new stuff is cool, but sometimes I just want to use old mounts/sets and would love them to be on par with modern stuff!
