It's just a few islands, the curious thing about them is just that they mark a circle of water. So while they are not a zone, something can be placed there. On suggestion I made is that the Underground zone, if/when added could be open air with the ground collapsing around that island chain and creating a waterfall to the zone; it would make for a truly striking area that is readily accessible from the rest of the isles and the potential for dragonriding races there is amazing.

Weren't there already guesses that those isles will be where that nightelf seed is going to be planted? So basically the location of their new capital?

Yeah that has been a guess as well. It's just that it seems weird to add a faction zone in an expansion continent. Definitely could work as a visual, the adjoining areas are the Green dragonflight areas after all.

This is interesting and would fit pretty well.

Nah more like a Lost World vibe; underground caverns with vegetation, part of the zone open to the air with a circular waterfall leading to a whirlpool and underground lake and adjoining caverns for a more proper Underdark vibe.

How would it fit to have a capital stuck in an expansion continent?

Just a personal guess but since the destruction of Teldrassil and Undercity I don't think that "expac continent" or "old world continent" matter in that regard anymore. IF they ever want to give the nelves (and forsaken of course) a new home it could be anywhere. Undercity of course is a little bit easier they could re-use it after the blight is gone, but for the night elves I guess any place is as good as another. As pointed out: just an assumption.

Thematically. And it doesn't need to be a "capital", it wouldn't be used as that anyway by the players. I mean it would be right next to the sanctuary of the Green Dragonflight, it would make a lot of sense to be right there.

If they do that I want them to include tiny little tunnel that leads from new zone directly to Deepholm. Just as funny easter egg.

New zone for 10.1 already seems too early. We got Korthia in 9.1 because they cut Shadowlands short, usually the first new zone comes with the .2 patch.

Maybe Forbidden Reach has an underground section and that's where we're going? Makes sense as Neltharion was the Earthwarden...

the fact that the alpha/beta had models for subterranean looking mole people yet we have yet to see them anywhere in 10.0 I feel really adds a lil more fuel to the 'underground patch' rumors

    Ah, i had missed that.
Thought it ended with the rift completely evaporating.

Partially because they only later on decided to add the red star to more skyboxes.

Of course Y'shaarj could still return and the expansion idea could still go ahead, but unless it somehow coopts that now defunct rift remnant the red star will not be related to it.

This whole "Nooo, we can't have Teldrassil 2 on the Dragon Isles because it's expansion content!!!" is so stupid and limits any kind of world building.

Like, every single thing in the game at this point in time is expansion content. There is no reason why Teldrassil 2 can't be on the Dragon Isles. It makes absolute sense. Players will be able to get there. Everyone will have access to that content anyway once the next expansion is out.

Also, Dragonflight is obviously set up to be the new New Player experience, replacing BfA.

Who thinks the baddies are right? The theme of the last few expansions since chronicles is that these cosmic forces are not good or evil, Titans and the beings of Order being no different.
What if ultimately we disagree with the flights on something, and rather than see things from our perspective they go rage mode for being "betrayed" by a mortal and insist what must happen to fit into the Titans designs (at the expense of mortals)

The Primalists are very clearly not right, they are shown to have no regard for anyone else, just wanting their "pure" world.
That being said, I wouldn't be shocked if we learn more about Titan Keeper shenanigans that might lead to internal conflict.

Also i doubt the flights would turn on us, if they did then it would be down to some kind of titan facility failsafe, not because the Dragons are order aligned.
The implication i am getting is that the Dragon are blithely unaware of whatever plans the keepers had for them, and just think the keepers ascended them as a reward for defeating Galakrond.
The world revamp dream will never die!

The second Expedition questline hints that Tyr made the Primalists or was thinking about doing it (experimenting with elements and protodrakes, or cataloging them) so there is definitely something else going on.

After watching all the renown quests I didn't find the Moleman anywhere. I wonder why he and the Slitherdrake were included in launch files?

Tyr always was a mystery, but Dragonflight makes him and his actions really fishy. I don't think he's the "good guy" at all.
