I imagine it was just Elune putting Ysera to rest and then things going about their regular intended course.

Re: the actual physical moon, Elune isn't the White Lady, not physically. It is (as far as we know) just an actual regular moon, though I guess there could be other crap going on up there, like it being semi-artificial with Titan constructs or something. The Night Elves worship that specific moon as a stand in for Elune herself, but Elune is a cosmos-spanning entity with followers on multiple worlds.

Presumably any given moon around any planet is representative of her, and she seems capable of both manipulating and acting "through" those moons, being able to trigger eclipses at will.

We do not know what the actual birth of Cenarius entailed. It's possible that Cenarius was simply formed out of the combination of her and Malorne's essences.

Elune is a very complicated entity. As it stands she seems to be singularly powerful, as in well beyond the scope of even things like the Titans or Eternal Ones, SL stuff frames her as potentially being a member of the Pantheon of Life, whatever form that takes, but she is a being who primarily seems to act through nature-arcane magic and also dabbles in both shadow and light.
Humour me: what are our sources that say she spans the cosmos, and that the moons are definitely just symbolic?

Because the White Lady turned dark when Tyrande invoked the Night Warrior, it turns red when she's angry, and supposedly it is white when it is in its neutral and benevolent state.

I just think it's interesting that the Tauren have a myth connecting the Earth Mother to the two moons and the sun. In their mythology, the Earth Mother pretty much did what the Titans supposedly did: shaped nature and so on. IIRC, whenever she slept, nature sprung forward in its growth.

It's almost as if the Earth Mother story is a semi-accurate description of the world-soul itself. Something which shaped nature in ages past. Then the celestial bodies orbiting Azeroth carry on that duty.

I want to say that Elune and the Winter Queen might be embodiments of the White Lady and Blue Child, or vice versa, or maybe the myth fails to grasp the concept that Elune might be a Naaru or something, and simply replaces her with something the Tauren could comprehend.

But then again, there's the while Cycle of Life and Death thing going on, suggesting Elune is some kind of Life deity.

So was Life the first cosmic force to reach Azeroth, influencing the world-soul and granting it some of its powers? The world-soul might be a battery of sorts, absorbing different forces which others cam then draw from it? The Ancient Guardians were created as some type of protectors of Azeroth. Naturally, Death arrived with it, because not all creatures were immortal.

Then Elune left, and the Old Gods arrived. They reached deep into the earth, allowing them to tap into the world-soul's powers. That's how Yogg-Saron got the power to create the Curse of Flesh, perhaps.

Then the Titans arrived, and started to make order of things. The Old Gods were imprisoned, and Azeroth's wild and primal surface got shaped and molded into something a bit more refined, but also controlled.

Disorder caught on, as Sargeras eventually discovered Azeroth and sent invasion after invasion to destroy it. He honed in on all the places where Azeroth's life force shone the brightest, like the Well of Eternity and the World Tree. Eventually he just went stabby stab right at the heart.

The forces that seized power within Death (an otherwise pretty benevolent force, it seems) decided they wanted this "battery" to undo creation or whatever. It was all nonsense.

Now, after thousands of years, it seems like the Titans' grasp on Azeroth might be slipping at last, once again leaving Life as the primary force to defend it against the Void.

Question now becomes, is this when the Light finally decides to show, or what's going on there? It seems like the cosmic force that has shown the least amount of interest in Azeroth, out of all six.

    Anyway, I'm rambling.

I enjoy that Trading Post has made it impossible to guess if something datamined is a huge deal or literally no deal at all.

I have some new informations based on a "friend". I cant talk much about it, but just gonna say that we are not going to get a revamp. Also we going to see a Light vs Void exp. We are going to Yrel not the other way around, but Yrel isnt where we think she are.

10.2.5 - mini raid with a Tyr / Paladin / Protectors of Azeroth theme? Tyr imbued by the Light and changes cosmic force?

We meet two other Night Warriors, chosen by Elune & they're from far away planets.

Unless they changed it from Legion, Elune definitely has something to do with the light and/or void.
Back in Legion it was stated (or theorized by Khadgar) that Elune created Xe’ra and thus her tear should be able to unlock Light’s Heart, which ended up being true. (Mind you they also said only a being belonging to Xe’ra’s line could unlock it)
Additionally there was Velen’s comment of Elune’s magic being very similar to the light.

I personally think the look of the “cosmic void” looks awfully like Elune’s magic too.

Yrel should be in her universe carrying her Holy Crusade. Going there in 11.0 would harm WoW severely. No one cares about Yrel's alternate universe, but there is potential if she were to come to our universe.

Logic says that if she comes to our universe it would be through our world, as it is the link to her universe.

So, I do not buy you. Although I think that Yrel coming to Azeroth is a matter of time.

Also there’s the “moon fragment” we find on Draenor from its moon that is able to create a moon well.

She has worshippers and has made Night Warriors on at least three other planets.

I assume, based on the fact that she is a "moon goddess" and that the instances of her invoking power on Azeroth involve eclipses happening, that those other planets also must have moons, and that when she does stuff on those planets, there are similarly eclipses. One would assume that "Elune" is not just a collection of hive-minded moons around planets, therefore the moons themselves must just be idolic in nature. A stand in for her on any given world where she has followers, and she herself exists somewhere else, just acting through them to do things.

Moon expansion is one of my favourite concepts. Just let us, go to the moon. Stick Elune's secret domain up there

buuuuut. May be a bit too close to Endwalker for that given 'go to the moon' was that expansion's main media thing

I wonder if the 4 helmets could be part of a Diablo IV promotion. Assuming they announce an expansion at BlizzCon, with the long awaited Crusader or Paladin class.

Did they ever say Yrel was born on Draenor? Because in the main timeline, she could have ended up in one of the other groups from Argus.

It's interesting that Draenor has a large Pale Lady moon, and a smaller, darker one.

Maybe Elune can't appear physically. Perhaps she was slain, or was a physical being who ascended into goddess, and the moons are her stand-ins.

I doubt that Blizzard stated in WoD if she came from Argus or if she was born in Draenor.

Why is this important, anyway? Do you think that she could make a portal to our universe through Argus? It is a possibility, I guess, but we just have been there and there was no trace of her.

I mean, I guess that by now she could have conquered several planets in her universe, so she might come to our universe through those other planets. But I doubt that she would start conquering another universe before conquering her own. Although the Iron Horde invaded our planet without having secured Draenor...

I mean the AU Yrel was on Draenor, but our universe's Yrel could be anywhere. She might be a Lightforged we just haven't met yet. Its Sela from Star Trek TNG all over again.

Scarab mount icons in this build, interesting.

Though the icons kinda make me think more of that beetle one, Telix the Stormhorn. They're various jeweled scarabs apparently, but no source as of yet.

Also confirmation that "dungeon" map someone found a few days back was indeed just part of the Amirdrassil raid.

You got the WOD lore completely wrong. Yrel's universe no longer exists, the Draenor we saw in WOD has been transported to our timeline. What was left of that universe collapsed, so there is no Azeroth in which the orcs never invaded.

Blizzard could have used this now in the last patch with the invasions of alternative worlds, do you think it's a coincidence that they didn't use this Azeroth?

Time passes faster in Yrel's world simply because Draenor is closer to the twisting nether. Not because they are on another timeline. This Draenor is close to the twisting nether probably because it is the place where celestial bodies that came from other realities emerge.

Furthermore, the naaru that approached her are the same ones that had the technology for space warp travel, like that which the draenei received. That's why she can be anywhere.

I think the implication from Xal'anth is that Elune is someone who "became" a goddess instead of someone made into a god.
