Honestly, the big question to me now is the existence of 10.3. Because Blizzard would have to be pretty confident in Avaloren being a slam dunk to make players accept slower expansions being the likely outcome going forward. Even more so when they talked about how proud they were to have an 8 week patch cadence.

Yup. I want a revamp for the old world but BGs need it. It's ridiculous that Blizzard is using as current content places that look so antiquated. At the very least AV, EotS and IoC should have had a graphic update a couple of expacs ago.

Is Storm Rider the expansion name? Whats with the Bronze, Silver, Gold? Sounds like the sales tiers (base, heroic, epic editions).

maggz = magma/fire, squally = air/storm, fyrn = earth/plant, frostwing = water/ice (elements) so earth may be featured but all 4 elements likely included throughout

    Oh sweet summer child.

They do not care if they want to put the audience on another Containment Island/Underground for 2 years/1 year. What really stops them from making horrendous business announcement in front of their fans?

The only thing that they may be confident in is the Classic announcement or a "Hey there's Revamp in another expansion that we can say to you on stage."

I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

Or the reason Metzen is coming is because he is going to say "expansions are smaller and faster now lol" in the nicest way possible, and they are trying to ensure people are let down in the most effective manner.

My guess is that Storm Rider is some kind of Dragonriding race available if you have the new Gryphon.
Shadowlands had the mount give a quest for the transmog, so maybe the Gryphon gives a quest for a race somewhere for a reward.

I guess. It feels like wasted effort though. They could have the quest team throwing dozens of little story quests around rather than bottlenecking themselves with updating assets. It's not like being restrained by older graphics stopped them from doing Secrets of Azeroth.

I think you cracked it, but the gryphon might be the air/storm element.

So it seems to me that the "children of the first flesh" are also the ones toiling in the deep places, and I cannot think of anything in Zarelek which fits that description?
Hello? Djaradin? Those are the Children of the First Flesh. It's heavily hinted since the first time we heard about that name: the paintings on the caves, the stories from the blind Djaradin, etc.

It's probably just a race achievement.

Maybe there's some initial promotional event that includes a dragonriding race? Or there's a race component as part of the gryphon mount? Like how the anima worm had a quest for transmog set.

If you think about it, if we assume they show 2024 roadmap, it's pretty impossible it won't be filled with patches until end of expac, even if they would be small. They won't show roadmap with big hole in the middle.

There is also possibility that expac is scheduled for August/September, with full Season 3 (5/6 month) and 12 week Season 4, which would cut any talks about content drought.

    Or the Blue Dragonflight questline

Ofc it might be that they WANTED to have it ready for these things, it just wasn't ready to launch.
We have speculated that they might be trying to automate the update. Maybe they had proof of concept for it when they started those questlines but it messed up on the large scale and they delayed it, gods knows that happens with projects.

I did have the idea that they could use a visually updated old world as part of timewalking if they expand timewalking to include zones and/or move to an evergreen version of timewalking.

And that’ll trigger Azshara to return.

But watch it be a plot twist where Azshara returns to help us kill the 5th old god & we get a Naga race or AR.

Algarian must be some sort of culture within the new expansion.

Is Lil Maggz, a chibi Magtheridon?

Release in August and then during the Anniversary Blizzcon announce the Revamp which would come with removing level progression and replacing it with some form of horizontal progression.
