It is possible that the theory that after MOP we have two exp related to the first three expansions is true. The first exp revives the theme and the second ends it. WOD resurrected BC and Legion ended it. BFA revived WOTLK and SL ended it. DL resurrected Cat, and 11.0 will end it. Then elementals are a logical motif, just like the Azeroth revamp for WoW's 20th anniversary. 12.0 may either be MOP-themed or will return to the Burning Legion theme again, as 12.0 will be released on the 10th anniversary of Legion and the 20th anniversary of BC.
If they follow a pattern that's entirely logical though, that he'd be correct. Same with what I wrote in response to our Undermine/Gnome friend in here. They also have a pattern in seeding and enabling Expansions, story-wise. They seed a hook, then develop a story that can enable and/or bridge that hook depending on which of the two makes more sense on a case-by-case basis. They could've actually worked around both patterns to an extent.

You know what, fair enough. Snipped the whole ass wall tryna dispute the points, but that Elemental Mount is, on the other hand, a very relevant little tidbit. It could still be a Snow Elemental to be in line with the Polar Bear and all, it's.. Blizzard.. and that thing has the same head as the Snow Elementals in Azure Span. But.. it's elemental in nature alright. Very typical on-the-nose Blizzard thing to reward a snow elemental for attending BLIZZcon.

An elemental expansion would be even more boring than an undergound one
Wowhead took image from their first article and make second article about it. They are just unbelievable. xD
It's looking for pattern that simply isn't there. In modern expansions Blizzard often use nostalgia factor to bring more people. In what way BfA revived WoTlK exactly? Lich King returned in Legion. Even SL just used Wrath nostalgia as jumpstart. BfA took heavy war/Alliance town destroyed/evil Warchief tropes from MoP with Old God sauce. DF take both from chill Atmosphere of Pandaria and dragon themes from Cataclysm. And so on, so on...

Is there any evidence this actually is as old as it claims (remember, we just had someone post the old expansion list hoax)? Like references to it from back then or an actual link to the forum(?) that can be verified with waybackmachine?
Not opposed to the idea, but it claims to know a bit too much ahead for what we know Blizzard is planning, or even if they had such a long timeline ahead the further it goes the more uncertain it's going to be.
This is what he posted on the Chinese forum
Today, when I was reviewing the content of each WoW expansion pack, I suddenly discovered a fact: the content of TBC's expansion pack is actually divided into two parts, the Draenor line and the Burning Legion line, which correspond to the content of WoD and Leg respectively.
In other words, the two expansion packs 6.0 and 7.0 are separated from the 2.0 expansion pack. superior
From this, we can continue to speculate that 8.0 should correspond to WLK's Ancient God Line, 9.0 should correspond to WLK's Natural Disaster Line, and the content should be New Witch. The Demon King Makes Trouble and the Kingdom of Shadows content.
10.0 and 11.0 correspond to the dragon line and elemental line of ctm. The story of the dragon and the elemental lord will end.
12.0 corresponds to the alliance and tribal war lines of mop. It is speculated that the current main cities and camp leaders will usher in the last major reshuffle.
13.0 corresponds to the evil line of mop, but this time the protagonist will be the final boss of wow----the Lord of the Void.
Among them, from 8.0 to 12.0, the forces of the void will appear frequently, and they are also the masterminds behind these expansion packs.
The Burning Legion debuted in 2.0, and after four expansion packs from 3.0 to 6.0, it came to an end in 7.0.
The Void Force debuted in 7.0, and after four expansion packs from 8.0 to 12.0, it finally came to an end in 13.0.
As for whether 13.0 is the end of WoW, it depends on whether Blizzard’s magical power of “one power to transform three cleanses” will continue.snickergoodjob

I think the strength of an Elemental expansion is that if it's done well we can get a bit of everything. It can be less about singular themes and more about the world reacting to something being unbalanced. You could even, in theory, tie in Wild God and Loa.
I think an Elemental expansion where we do a tour of the elemental planes would definitely suck, but one where we go through Azeroth putting out and adapting to a new surge in activity could be a good thing.
Especially if we want to hold with next expansion having an Orc/Thrall focus. The idea of establishing a new Council of Elementals and helping to keep things in harmony is something that would be a prime position for them considering Dreanor.
It also does something that I think has been narratively missing, and gives the Earthen Ring an active role to mirror the Cenarion Circle.
Found this while browsing the wow classic 4chan page
I imagine it being something like you go at 30 to do a couple of red quests then return at 40 for more and so on, like in Stranglethorn more or less
Started playing classic again and I noticed that classic questing design keeps you returning to the same zones as you level up so I think if Blizzard reallly does add new leveling zones in some form of classic+ it will be like this

That Logo is so legit haha.
That's just... Stormwind Prison? You mean Stockades? Why would they have Stockades AND a prison? Why would the Ruins of Lordaeron be a Dungeon, when they are part of the Undercity? Borrow Deeps? Barrow Deeps? Upscaling Classic, people would like/want that? That would shatter so many nostalgia bubbles.
