Yeah I'm not keeping my hopes up. As far as it being a capital, that's pretty weird as well. Because it's a raid. I doubt they're going to make the raid non-instanced and available to enter seamlessly from the outside. So either all those elves are going there to live out in the woods, or we'll never see them again because the raid will always be a raid.

Just saw this and havent seen it posted. Updated blizzcon map.
Hall D: World of Warcraft®, Hearthstone®, and Warcraft Rumble® including: the WoW Corridor of Time, the Warcraft Tavern, Rumble: In the Machine, the WoW Guild Clash, the Hearthstone Artist’s Nook, Hearthstone Duel-a-Dev, and the Darkmoon Faire

seem like they are going deep into the theming.

Believing that this is an elemental expansion simply because we have order-based dragons squaring off against elemental-based and time-based dragons is quite a take.

World returns to pre-cataclysm, Worgen return to Gilneas, Goblins restore Kezan and we visit Undermine.

    It simply makes sense.
Hrm. You think there will be another big patch where that happens or?

Cuz right now I'm under the assumption that 10.2 will be the final major raid.

Nah it was in other spots too.

I would disagree. The incarnates are dragons first, elementals second. Which is why they were introduced in a decidedly dragon expansion.
Pretty sure at the time we didn’t know that the Drust were related to the realm of Death. We assumed they were related to the Dream as some of the Drust had founded the Thirnspeakers which were Kul Tiran Druids. Though I may be wrong and misremembering if it was confirmed they were Death related at the time.

The Bwonsamdi storyline was pretty much small fry. Certainly not enough for it to be considered the secondary theme of an expansion. It was a HvA expansion with the Old Gods as the secondary theme.

ofc they're dragons. it's just that in almost every cinematic they're in their humanoid/elemental form. it's easy to forget what they are tbh lol also, as @Hitei pointed out, there is a lot (too much) elemental stuff in df.

    They’re literally elementals.
    Dragons came from elementals.

Doesn't boralus have an instanced version and a non-instanced version (the bfa hub)? it can work. also, the tree is not fully grown yet so to get a full city there we will probably have to wait a world revamp/new expansion.

Ah, see, but what you actually meant to type was:

Believing that this is an elemental expansion simply because we have order-based dragons squaring off against elemental-based dragons, and an elementalist faction who fight alongside elementals, and a race of elemental-fire infused giants and tribes of elemental-decay infused gnolls, and elemental-earth infused furbolgs and element-wielding gorlocs and elemental-air infused centaurs and ice-spiders and ice-bears and flame-phoenixes while all over the continent groups of elementals rage and fight is quite a take.
And yes, that is definitely "a take". "A take" here meaning, common fucking sense.

On the small chance Eclipse is real (and even if it isn’t) what are peoples hopes/expectations for Avaloren’s theme?

I could see a Camelot themed landmass with WoW’s interpretation of Merlin, Morgen Le Fay, King Arthur, the round table and the Holy Grail. It’s a bit surprising we haven’t seen the WoW version of them yet.

The tree isn't fully grown in the Raid or the Dream, there isn't a settlement yet.

This is like the third eclipse leak, lmao

Eclipse is the new <X of Dragons>.

Imo still firmly against basic name marketing that Blizzard employs. Eclipse is totally and completely generic. Is it about Elune? Does it just take place on the moon? Is it metaphorical and referring to void invasion? Is it metaphorical and a play on light and void?

It's also worth noting that Fyrakk's attack on Amirdrassil along with bringing the Firelands over is similar to what Ragnaros tried to achieve when Deathwing summoned him.

And since Iridikron is reserved for the next expansion (supposedly), he's gonna be the next "Deathwing" and bring about an elemental chaos with the Primalists helping him (who we still know nothing about their organization.)

Not to mention the Elemental themes throughout most of the Dragonflight dungeons as well as with each of the previous expansion dungeon pools, dungeons with very on the nose elemental themes have been chosen (Vortex Pinnacle, Throne of the Tides).

Yeah kinda upset about that - is the overwatch world cup still a thing? Do people watch that? It should be half a hall.

Saying DF isn't mostly elemental, next to dragons ofcourse, is quite the take. We have Elemental dragons. An elemental pre patch. Every zone has one element as main influence and the list goes on.

No clue how representative the detailing is but that looks like 2 separate WoW demo areas?

Noticed that as well - would make sense one for classic one for retail.
