I'm assuming you are looking at CreatureDisplayInfo which won't have much for those mounts as they are basically character models and using the character customization system. They do indeed combine various textures on top of their base textures based on what customization options are selected. You can look through the various ChrModel and ChrCustomization* DB2s (although do that on supported tools that have modern data) to tie all that together.

"Storms" and "Dwarves" together is a very Metzen thing. He and Samwise Didier used to run a website together that they called Sons of the Storm, and it was basically filled with their art featuring, well... storms and dwarves, and other badass stuff.



Wouldn't surprise me if this is some kind of ancient love child in the Warcraft universe from ages past, which they never got to realise until now.

Depends, really. They could've had the basic framework for the expansion in place already by the time he joined. Like, Avaloren or whatever the continent ends up being might have been a thing. Iridikron working with the Harbinger might have been a thing.

But all the unique visual flair could probably have been shaped and moulded over the last year. The expansion probably didn't enter full production until roughly around the time Metzen came back.

I think we are in the second phase of leak speculation at this point.

First phase is everyone agrees on a reasonable location and/or theme for the next expansion. For this leak cycle backside of Azeroth or World Revamp.
Second phase is people get derailed by something. Looking way too deeply into a supposed hint. In this case goblins and the AI void leak.
Third phase is when Blizzcon is imminent, and we start getting the actual leaks. At that point it becomes a game of trying to justify the correct leaks into your preferred early leak.

At the end we usually get the obvious theme and location everyone agreed on initially.

As much as I hate all the discussion: Odyn is definitely gonna be a boss next expansion. He is literally being set up in 10.2, and he tried to reach Avaloren the whole time.

Uldaz. More importantly, we should be visiting Uldaz THIS expansion or else why mention it on the Tyr mace from the dungeon.
