Going over the front page, they essentially did the rumble announcement already
They might actually just skip the infodump on it and limit its screentime to trailer and repeating the release date.
That's a brilliant idea. They learned much from the Immortal announcement.
Everquest 2 just announced it's latest expansion today if you wanted to compare the expansion of a game with 10 million subs versus 5k subs.

Well, looks like back to square one.
Still wondering if it'll be an elemental expansion.

So the event today that e.g. MrGM is a part of is confirmed the Warcraft Rumble Creator Summit...
Well it will be available for download - they are most likely going to try and get everyone at blizzcon(and watching) to download it. My guess they might do a promo beyond the pre-order one they are doing for first week of playing probably?
I hope they start with it and quickly move on - I also fear they will take up panel time on rumble. I don't think they are going to turn it into an esport(god I hope they don't) so I don't think Rumble needs a panel beyond meet the artists hopefully. I want the max number of WoW Panels at Blizzcon.

If that is the case - why so secretive? Rumble has been in Beta for months it's all over YouTube.

I can't see them treating Rumble like Immortal. The backlash and memes are hopefully lessons that they took from it. I wouldn't mind some side panels for it, but I doubt it'll be main stage for more than an announcement and trailer.
yeah, not saying I am a personal fan of his strange ego but I think his/their videos are great content nonethelessEspecially that Jailor-plotting video was 10/10
Anyways! For me a new whole landmass means that we won't see a revamp though as this would be too much for one xpac. :S
As someone who has been playing Rumble for a little over a month now, it's actually a really fun game.
Let's clear things out of the way, it's absolutely a gatcha game, it's absolutely Clash Royale clone. It is what it is, and it's still quite fun. I'd say the grind doesn't really start until you finish all the maps and start Heroic, so there's at least a month of casual play to be had. It's the closest thing we have to a new Warcraft RTS, and it's perfect for anyone who doesn't mind mobile gaming.
That being said, I don't see it offering much content that requires putting down money for. At most I see getting the ~$18 Arclight Booster that gives you a permanent 50% more gold acquisition boost, otherwise I've never really found myself short for gold with all by-weekly Arclight Surge events and just casually passing levels. I haven't hit a brick wall yet at least, just the grind has gotten a lot slower.

I really don't understand how EQ1 and EQ2 are both still being supported, but separately. Are they different universes, or different timelines? How does the lore actually connect between games?

More devs hyping up the Warcraft section of the con.

He said "Never in my wildest dreams" did you think you'd be covering a warcraft mobile game? Was this really his first time at Blizzard? Because smaller youtubers have been there ages ago.EQ2 is set 500 years later. Like the PS2 mmo was set 500 years before EQ1. Revel in the sheer audacity of that property. So much of WoW was learning from its mistakes.

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
The new event was completely done in a hurry it seems ... Full bug
Honestly, I don't think I can see how that would happen unless it's for a spinoff. Any new WoW content or—in the wildest fantasies of the mentally-deluded—a new Warcraft RTS couldn't really "fall flat" insofar as the hype is oriented around the BlizzCon showing itself, even if the content actually proved bad on release.

I just fail to see what they could announce that makes this hype seem sensible and logical. It's kind of comedic at this point how everyone has driven extra hype from the President, Community Managers and employees with the starting of this hype up being the content creator space.
It just does not really feel like they've got something that would resonate and engage the audiences as of current.
