I guess Revamped Darkshore counts? I mean it had some dailies, world quests, rares, collectibles a world boss and an expansion feature with the Warfront. But yeah otherwise X.1 usually added some event in existing zones instead of an entire new zone.
That said, given we have Forgotten Shore already, adding that at max level would work just fine. The Storms will be 10.0.5 content (I expect a bit after the raid is cleared to tie in with the Incarnates breaking loose?)

I guess of we assume the Korthia we got was supposed to be in 9.1 regardless, and subscribe to the theory that Mechagon was meant to be part of 8.1, then X.1 patches could arguably have a history of adding smaller zones.
Both Korthia and Mechagon are hardly full zones, maybe being a quarter the size of a proper one.

I think you have to see her as a tragic figure then. She thinks she's doing something for the greater good although it's inevitably the opposite - like Sylvanas, but everybody likes you in the first place. And you won't face Chromie, you face the infinite version of her.

With all of the Titan and Life stuff, I'd imagine the next logical step would be to explore the Realm of Order first tbh. We even have a name drop of Zereth Ordus ffs. The Void stuff would require a LOT imo, from Sargeras to Azshara to Xal'atath, to the Light even...

Jumping into it after an Elemental expansion would be weird.

I get what you are saying but the Elemental expansion makes more sense right now. 10.0 we deal with primalist and 11.0 we would deal with the elementals. The expansions stories are no longer self contained and the stories will continue into the new expansions that has been confirmed by Blizzard already in recent interviews in regards how plotpoints being handled. We can't just jump in Realm of Orders that's far out, but the bread crumbs begin in DF.

Crazy-but-onto-something Infinite Chromie trying to mess with the universe to save her master would be a great antagonist. However they are aware of how popular she is and Blizzard treats her like a mascot, so I'm not sure how likely it is.

I also think there's a good possibility Emberthal is someone directly related to Neltharion, maybe the first Dracthyr made from his cells? We still don't know how they were born and I wouldn't be surprised if cloning/machinery was involved.

Chromie becoming a sympathetic antagonist isn't a Sylvanas, but I think they are going to play things super safe.

Chromie is more of a mechanically-necessitated plot device than she is an actual character.

I wouldn't put it past anyone to modify a model, its fairly similar to Sabellian's model though there are differences (the chin horns point down on this one but they're outward on Sabellian for example).

Also I'm always skeptical of anyone who takes a cellphone picture of a screen instead of a screenshot. That's a common tactic to help hide fake things.

Used to be a character, but yeah at some point Blizz decided she was less a character and more a plot device to justify WoW Classic existing, and Chromie Time existing.

Bit of a late realization, but there isn't a Bronze or Green themed dungeon yet. Bronze makes sense as there will definitely be a Murozond patch, but maybe we are going to get a Dream patch as well? Would explain Ysera being around.

With them talking about constant patches I can see two more dungeons just like Legion.

The Megadungeon tends to be some kind of plotline that really doesnt matter in the grand scheme, I find. Karazhan is the odd one out, but both Mechagon and Tazavesh were small bit sized pieces of plot that didnt really branch outwards. Even less sibstantial than the usual X.2 pattern of fighting a B-list villain tangentially related to the main one that deserves a full raid, but not a full expansion.

It's hard to judge with Megadungeons, because they don't really have any buildup usually. Mechagon had the most, and that was just a single questline in Tiragarde.

I imagine it will be important in 10.1. We don't usually get a direct breadcrumb like Tyr's memories being lost in time, and an empty Tyr vessel lying around for long. Something is going to happen to make it move forward real quick I reckon. Even if that just ends up being moving the goalposts further back.
