Seems like those 3 named NPCs are just lesser versions of the ones we know, Whitemane, Houndmaster etc. Interesting.

That said, we don't know how much more Scarlets are there now, those pamphlets or someone is really trying to convince a lot of people to join their cause and push the Forsaken out.

This could be due in large part to the Scourge being out of control now with the Helm of Domination gone, so now the Scarlets are extremely bolstered to root out any undead they see.

There very well could be an old god presence in the next expansion (the fissure that altered the Khaz Algarians being related to Xal’atath is an interesting and plausible theory). However it is highly unlikely we’re zipping off to K’aresh, getting playable Ethereal, running around eco domes, or punching void lords in the face.

I’m quite thankful for that.

It’s like being thankful for Undermine/Tinkers being in DF before the announcement.

It’s very possible we get the Legion treatment with Ethereals starting on K’aresh and fleeing to Azeroth as part of the starting zone experience, just to return in a future patch.
Perhaps Xal’atath, Azshara, or Iridikron would want some fragment of Dimensius’ power/essence that could’ve been left on K’aresh in trying to destroy it.

Would explain why he was just a dungeon boss in BC when he was known for destroying planets. (Murmur was the same but it was at least explained that it was just a whisper of his power or whatever)

I dunno. Bad things tend to happen when Aman'thul pulls things out of Azeroth.

If I had a nickel, everytime shit happens, when Aman'thul plucks things from Azeroth, I'd have two nickles. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.

Imagine if Aman'thul removed the Sword and sank Silithus, created an ocean and significantly altering the geography there. we could even have a whole expansion around it. World of Warcraft: Adventures of the Sword Coast or something similar. Rolls right off the tongue

So much would be solved if Zereth Ordos had send Aman'thul to a proper dermatologist instead of some aesthetician . . .

So this NPC from the latest build could just be a new M+ addition to Throne of the Tides (we'll have to see this testing weekend), but it would be eyebrow-raising given these blokes didn't exist at all in the lore back when TotT was current.

There is also a 'Mysterious Entity', but the placeholder(?) model is a decidedly squat frog... possibly devs having a laugh.

Meh, he still absolutely makes sense given the context of the dungeon. Why not use them?

That's a weird one. G'hanir is a super old concept (and was the afterlife for flying creatures for a while)...

But it being a gift from Elune? It was made by Freya. That much is fairly specific, from the artifact quest chains. I'd take this at it's face. A legend.

But if I had to guess, G'hanir was in Hyjal/Winterspring.

It's probably Un'Goro crater. It's a crater. Surrounded by deserts. With lots of unusual flora and fauna. It has a world tree in the Emerald Dream (Ylgynoth is parasiting it).

Does it need a clarification? Not many players pay attention to small details like opening up the world map and picking a continent like that. So Blizz doesn't need to justify a clarification for accidentally putting Kalimdor "a little too far to the left" or a have that big gap between the edge of Kalimdor.

And if Blizz wanted to add more continents, there's big space on the north of Kalimdor and to the left of Northrend same way they added the Dragon Isles.. or they could've added one to that BIG space between the Eastern Kingdoms and Pandaria?

No, no, they don't have to clarify anything obviously since you dismissed that moving Kalimdor has anything to do with making more space on the west side with:

During BFA they updated the artwork for the maps, but they messed up by having Kalimdor too far away from the Maelstrom so in DF they fixed it.

But yeah, right side of the map seems to be a little overcrowded and it's just off-putting aesthetically so by moving Kalimdor closer to Maelstrom people jump to conclusion that they will place next thing to the left of Kalimdor. The whole concept of continents placement has been brought up on multiple Blizzcons, during many interviews and so on, therefore people love to go wild about ideas like "what's west of Azeroth?"
That idea just adds up a little bit of topographical balance to the existing map, not that it has any particular impact on the gameplay really.
And I believe that there's some magic to the "west" direction, whenever I think of that, it's always the missing part of the map: Middle-earth, Westeros, even Columbus discovering the path to India eventually sailed West, obviously for different reasons than just let's go West, but then again, kinda encapsulates the idea of "adventure"? I guess?

And now the book talking all about the west. It' just fun to speculate on that

The web api achievement leak was very... partial. Not entirely sure why, but only things from 2 categories got spoiled and a whole bunch of other still encrypted achievements did not.

I would indeed say that Squally and the Algarian Stormrider are very much related to eachother, both by key and by name.
Same goes for the Fyrn pet and the unknown elemental mount, but by shared assets instead of key.

Based on all that and some more, personally leaning into towards a Dwarven / Elemental combo expansion. Less than a month until we find out.

Well, it's a magical pool of blood. Though the first one was unexpected and made him stop plucking things out of Azeroth (no, Sargeras doesn't count and not doing it would have been worse anyhow).

That aside, the Titans aren't being portrayed as evil but rather as having different motivations and morals from us, which is perfectly sensible. And really not all that new, unlike what some people who are blaming Danuser like China is blaming the US are claiming.

One thing I will say about this new lore is that it's one of the very, very few cases of new lore where my attitude doesn't span from mild disdain to absolutely detesting it. These new books are—dare I even utter the words—relatively interesting and something I'd like to see explored.

I agree, it IS very much interesting, especially that it likely connects with what the Everliving Statue had to say.
But therein lies the problem for me with it as well - its only interesting so far bc its a mystery box.
Its fun to speculate about it, as long as we dont have any answers. The question of whether or not it will remain interesting once we get all the answers is a very different one, and chances are it wont. SL was similar in that a lot of people had fun speculating about the Janitor, what he was after, how he fit in the story, what the spulcher is, what the fIrSt oNeS are, etc. - but when everything was (more or less) revealed, it was utter garbage.
The payoff of a mystery box story has to be really good, bc that is what it will be remembered for after its done. And so far, Blizz hasnt delivered with that most of the time they tried it.

My hope would be a reset like how Mortal Kombat was reset with the recent game. It could still be the old world with the old areas and mostly the old characters, but with a bit of a face lift.
