If it was a void invasion, don’t you think something from the set of datamined items would indicate that? Like the heroic mount or the achievements?

This is literally all in your head. Like I said before, you can't help yourself but to believe in only absolutes.

No one is saying a huge void invasion is our next expansion. I'm not talking about a Legion scale purple attack. We are discussing the fact that Iridikron, the current big bad, seems to have struck some bargain with an Old God, allies of the Void, or the Void itself in order to achieve his goals. There is no need to see a datamined achievement named "Heroic: Purple People Eater" to assume that the current narrative thread is being continued.

Funny thing is I had this insane theory that whatever Zovaal was afraid of is sound related. Because sound isn't really something you can fit into the wow comsology as a force, so it is technically outside of it.

Double-jump and Glide-jump is what keeps players from switching back from DHs and Evokers. If suddenly everyone could do it then player numbers for those classes would sharply drop.

Earthbreakers

Explore cavern zones under new old-world zones.

Expansion starts in Silithus and you enter first zone near existing damaged earth.

Strongholds (not d4). Endgame shared pve area. 3 available on launch. Alternative to m+ but no time. 5 players attack stronghold mobs and get loot and currency the stronghold commander. Take place in castles in old world (think a bigger Stonewatch) and phasing system for up to 3 parties together. Puzzles and a trapdoor in one.

No new race but class modifications are coming that involve a rebuilt glyph system.

This is absolutely believable. Whoever faked this one gj. Others learn.

Cavern Zones under revamped zones. Gives them an excuse to revamp zones.
Gives them an excuse to fix the ducking sword.
Strongholds sound EXACTLY like the old 'Elite Questing Areas" from Classic, like OP mentioned, Stonewatch. This would go absolutely hard. It would also be exactly the kind of feature WoW needs to move towards mimicking the Delves of ESO which are one of its defining features.
Glyph System Revamp makes so much sense considering its been ass for like 5 years now.
Jump Function on ground mounts being different is very much in line with the advanced dragonflight movement model. It also gives them an excuse to revamp the older mount models.

It's certainly what makes me feel slightly disappointed when I go back to my DK that I mained until last patch. Every failed Glide-jump is a subtle prodding to still play Evoker.
