I think people are tunnel visioning a little on the bits of datamining we got (stormrider mount), plus it's what the fake leaks have been on about so it further sticks in people's brains

But from what we know the storms are just what's preventing us from going west, it doesn't seem like it will actually be an important part of the plot.

Druid dragonriding is an interesting one I hadn't thought of, the new Somnowl flightform models support dragonriding as they use the same rig as the Fire Owl mount, but it'll also require additional work for them to actually be able to use them as advanced flying. I wonder if any of that work is already findable in 10.2, hmm!

Right. They did say a druid form would be able to dragonride in 10.2. But as of this moment, that & the Boomkin Customization aren't working. So 10.2 isn't quite done yet.

I think it's not necessarily "weather-related" but very likely elemental related. Besides storms, that would include things like earth, water etc.

Didn't Marlamin say there was an ocean map currently unaccounted for? That's why I guessed the associated Storm Riding cup would be flying around a Hurricane.

Seems it was getting falsely attributed when 10.2 came out but considering Druids are getting reskins of that Raid Owl Mount as flight forms it would make sense to actually make them functional in Dragonflight content.

Hmm, interesting. The Somnowl rig has normal flying animations as well so that doesn't neccesarily mean they'll get advanced flight with the reskin, but at the same time Druid dragonriding might just be a bunch of database entries away (amongst other things, the GlideEvent stuff I mentioned for the dragonriding mount encrypted in the bundle key).

cause idk if you know but MRGM is not saying all grpyhons are getting the ability to dragonride, he is saying the skeleton can now dragon ride.

but I would love if you could show me the ironbound protodrake dragon riding.

MR GM is NOT saying here that in 10.2 grpyhons will all be able to dragon ride, he is saying the skeleton has gotten dragon riding animations.

Nothing in that says Gryphon dragonriding is coming in 10.2 though, which was something you said as coming in 10.2. It could be an encrypted mount that shares the rig with the Gryphon skeleton that can dragonride, say a certain an encrypted mount also added in 10.1.7.

This was knowledge for a long time. Nowhere has Blizzard said gryphon dragonriding is coming 10.2.
