There is nothing currently connected to the gryphon texture as far as I have been able to see. References are either not in the game, encrypted, or otherwise obscured.

Not that texture. But apparently on the Heroic mount theres storm/wind/debris effect. So a swirling gale effect. Not unusual for a magical gryphon or elemental. Something wind-enchanted.

Do we know that the tree would have been on Avaloren? Is it possible to be Un'Goro or Sholazar? If Un'Goro, perhaps that could add some more belief behind Sargeras' sword and the caverns below as a possible area for 11.0

Since we don't know of a tree specifically named Elun'ahir, that suggests it's somewhere we haven't been. Or it got renamed. The point of that story seems to be 2-fold: 1.) an explaination for world trees existing that we don't have an origin story for, like the one in Valsharah. And 2.) that the Titans didn't plan for there to be world trees on Azeroth. The other Titans didn't know the roots were still growing when they left Azeroth.

I could have sworn there are flight paths in plains that use it as the default Flightpath taxi.

"The world is healing. But her fate is yet uncertain. Together, we shall be Azeroth's protectors once again. Here, the new age of dragons shall begin!"

This is such a battlecry. They're not just going to sit around after Dragonflight. They fully intend to be the protectors of the world once more. It would be very strange if we didn't bring them along on our adventure through the storm and across the sea.

They wouldn't have unlocked the storm riding ability so they physically can't fly there to join us, so sad. /s

I don't believe the model is used outside of the mount yet.

I have all renowns maxed on 2 characters, just the Emerald Dream renown faction to go then I guess. Easy pathfinder.

Except its not, cause why would they go through all this effort to have pathfinder, and allow normal flying in the dragon isles as an acheivement that needs to be unlocked, if they are just adding a toggle in the same patch, that they are for some reason keeping a secret?

Because it allows you to fly in the dragon isles with all of your old mounts, and now you also get the bonus of being able to make some of your older mounts into dragonriding mounts. The toggle doesn't work until Blizzard unlocked flying in the dragon isles in 10.2.

yep, that or maybe 10.2.5 or 10.2.7 or even 10.3 if we are getting a 10.3, because if it was in 10.2, why would they not just... announce it?

More than likely 10.2.5 to give players time to get the pathfinder achievement. The point is, a feature datamined in 10.1.5 is highly unlikely to be a feature introduced in 11.0.

Teriz literally made that same argument. The bit of contention was that people playing in the Dragon Isles would have access to a dragonriding mount almost immediately while the pathfinder achievement takes a very long time. I've been playing the entire expansion so far & I don't know a single person who has all four original reputations to renown level 20.

1- you don't need renown 20 to get pathfinder

Wanna prove it? if so give me your armoury or just a link to your guilds armoury and I would be glad to go through and get a list for you of all your guild mates who have renown 20.
renown 20 takes no time at all.
The last renown I maxed out (not 20 MAXED) was the 8th of january.
Now of course I played a fair bit, I farmed, I didnt do EVERYTHING I didnt play all day every day, but I played a fair bit.

But if you really gunna sit here and say been playing since the expansion launch, doing the content, and have yet to get 20, I am calling BS.
The weekly emisarry quest alone every week since launch will have gotten you to 20 and beyond by now.

so why go through that trouble to also just add a toggle for dragon riding to normal flying?
and also keep that toggle secret?

We don't know how normal flying will be enabled yet (or at least I don't think they've made that info available). Enabling old flying and enabling dragonriding for the mounts with updated animations are not related. Other than that we know old flying is coming they could have done one or the other or both. They could make it that only current dragonriding mounts can do dragonriding (dynamic) and any (or only old) mounts can do old style (static) flying.

As of now, it's not in 10.2. It could come in 10.2.5, 10.2.7, or even as a feature in 11.0.

We do not know, we just know right now it's not in the game. It is completely baseless for you to say it's probable to be in 10.2, and you badgering anyone who refutes your significantly less than solid claim is tirelessly frustrating.

It definitely won't be a feature in 11.0, that's for sure.

Made a big speculation post some 30 pages back after the new books in 10. 2 were datamined. If 11.0 is going to have the roots of elun'ahir and some Elune focus it may make sense in hindisight to save druids for all races till the next expansion.

Assuming the new rep is relatively easy to get. Renown is a worse version of reputation as it is more required for each character and you need more to max it (42000 for exalted and over 60000 for renown (62500 (25level) and 75000(30 level). At leas the achievement only need rank 15 (for now)

It's in the 10.1.5 PTR back in May. That's way too early for a 11.0 feature to pop up.

Maybe once you hit the max reputation level. Otherwise that would give altaholics an advantage on reputation grinding.

The seeds are all sown with Dream Children, Tyr's Guard & Vyranoth recruiting Primalist Shaman. I'd guess they'll be minor patch features considering Blizzard has discovered lots of minor patches keep the community happy.
