So maybe the prepatch event, but seems unlikely. Maybe s promotion or event they haven't put in yet.

It could easily be something like the quest the Shadowlands CE mount gave for the transmog set, except instead of making you collect items it lets you participate in a race that results in a title.

They have to leave it like that or no one but demon hunters could equip them anymore. Makes sense really. Demon hunters got their own special access to them anyway.

Correct, and during the wod alpha we datamined a few glaive type weapons, that didnt get added till legion.
