It's time travel story with a master time manipulator, so death is easily hand waved.

My head cannon guess is that she only became so powerful with time magic because she got the discs. Maybe it has a way to view and understand time magic, and her getting it gave her the knowledge needed to become as powerful as she became. As far as how she got it? Infinite dragon flight shenanigans. Give a mortal a way to understand the time ways and let them cook up their own ways to disrupt the timeline.

Hey you'd develop an unhealthy disorder or two as well if you had to see infinite possibilities unveiling before you for milennia and/or since the dawn of creation.

For Evokers... really can't see that working for anything else. For Demon Hunters... they should at least expand it out to Void Elf and Nightborne?
You can easily expand demon hunters to every race out there, warlocks used the wannabe-Illidan demon form for years, so worst case a generic one will do for any races that are no night or blood elves. Also iirc there is even a human dh in lore already. Orcs and Eredar make sense aswell, and if you have them included you can as well go all in like they did for dk's.

But Elune is already confirmed to be the Sister of the Winter Queen aswell as Eonar's girlfriend. So no, she is neither an old god, nor imprisoned lol.

I wonder if we will have a proper explanation as to why Elisande couldn't forsee our victory over the legion. It has always been a bit disappointing. Sending us back to her could be very interesting and the fact that the quest isn't released yet makes me hope for something wothwhile

In a way, she did? She saw that there was no way to win without allying with the Legion. And that's what lead to the rebellion which did free her people from the Legion's grasp. If she hadn't allied with the Legion, than they most likely would have been wiped out.

    Task failed successfully.

Well this post will probably only expand the notion of my "nuttiness"; I don't believe the storm stuff has anything to do with the next expansion. That includes the story of the green dragon traveling west of Kalimdor. I believe that's all a red herring because there's simply too much "storm" stuff in 10.2 and Blizzard has never dumped that level of next expansion stuff into a patch in a previous expansion. That level of telegraphing makes it simply too easy.

Nah, I think something else is afoot. I have a sinking suspicion that in a future patch we're going to the land west of Kalimdor, and the next expansion is something else entirely. Probably element based because I believe the Algarian Stormrider is still an elemental, but I'm simply not buying the notion that we're doing another lost continent like Dragon Isles. I do believe that we are in fact going underground as Toweliee hinted towards and Zaralek Caverns suggested. I do believe that Khaz Algar is a place we visit later in the expansion, but it won't be the main location.

So in short, I believe all this storm stuff and lands west of Kalimdor and gryphon junk is all stuff related to the current expansion. We'll see soon enough how correct I am, or how wrong I am.

Except in WoD where they had a whole patch dedicated to Legion & telegraphing that expansion…

Or in Legion where there was a whole patch about the sword, Azerite, and the starting of the faction war.
(Including the datamining of the Kul Tiras set, allied races, & the CE mounts)

Or Cataclysm where Wrathion outright talks of a land hidden land “beyond the mists of the sea".

    The list goes on.

And I would still argue that the level of telegraphing here is higher.

Why? Because at the time, people didn't recognize those clues to the point where they predicted the next expansion. We can look at those clues now and connect the dots, but back then? Every expansion pretty much blind sided us (except BFA). I think we're going to get blind sided again, probably even more so, because I'm willing to bet that Blizzard is tossing up distractions to intentionally throw us off.

I don't understand how one man can so consistently have such unpopular or incorrect takes. It would be interesting if we even get a third major patch this expansion.

The game files say otherwise, the Gamespot interviews 8 week cadence means that it would be a lie so pick your poison.

I mean we will know at Blizzcon.

The more time passes I believe the game files are actually just a Blizzard employee trolling to make 10.3 announcement a surprise because the Gamespot interview becomes incoherent compared to the Icy Veins/Gamerant + Game File situation being true.

I honestly agree with this as well.

Anyway, as you say, we'll know in a few weeks one way or another.

The whole "LOL BLIZZARD IS GOING TO NUKE WORLD OF WARCRAFT WITH CHRIS METZEN AT THE HELM AT OPENING CEREMONY TO ANNOUNCE ANNUAL EXPANSIONS, SEASON PASS WHILE CHRIS METZEN DOES THE DEFAULT FORTNITE DANCE xD" or the drop all bad news about Retail and then obfuscate the bad news with Classic+ is apparently a bit too much even for me to consider a possible reality. It comes off as a piece from an absurdist theater play I just cannot take the mere possibility seriously.

Hell, the whole showing off the 2024 Roadmap at Blizzcon with the Roadmap ending with 10.2.7 is such a weird decision to make at a PR event I just again it just does not add up in my head for competent people in the Marketing/PR branch of the company to make. It just looks bad and feels bad for the customer.

I mean it is completely plausible within the PR and Marketing Department of Blizzard Entertainment and their C Suite to come up with "that".

But. The Gamespot interview just irks me, its a crafted piece interview with both the company and the interviewer working in tandem to create a crafted piece for PR purposes and in it they mention 1) They are interested in Retail Revamp 2) 8 Week Cadence is staying for patches. 3) Tenders becoming more purchaseable will happen. 4) Metzen is neato.

Not to speak of the whole emphasis by the President of the company and employees saying this is going to be a very positive Blizzcon.

Someone is having fun at the company, I think fucking with doomers sanity level.
